Holo Projectile Won't Impact
Archive: 7 posts
I've made a fireball projectile out of holo material. There are three thin pieces all glued together with batteries animating them, and one small thick layer glued behind the thin layers. I've placed an impact sensor hooked to a destroyer onto the thick piece, but no matter what I change the settings to, it only destroys the thick piece when it hits something. The thin layers keep going. Anyone else had this issue? Thanks for any help. | 2011-03-17 17:59:00 Author: ccapel Posts: 100 |
Have you set the destroyer to include rigid connections? | 2011-03-17 18:15:00 Author: theamilien Posts: 485 |
Holo doesn't see impacts unless "Include touching" is turned on. Please see: http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Impact_Sensor. | 2011-03-17 19:17:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
Yeah I've tried turning all of those options on and off. Nothing seems to work. | 2011-03-17 21:49:00 Author: ccapel Posts: 100 |
Try placing destroyers on all the pieces. | 2011-03-17 22:09:00 Author: comishguy67 Posts: 849 |
Try placing destroyers on all the pieces. Shouldn't be necessary. If "Include Rigid Connections" is on, then glued stuff should work. Are you sure it's actually glued? If you can't figure it out, maybe publish a copyable level containing a small example of the problem you have. | 2011-03-18 16:48:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |

I had similar issues with the barrels in donkey kong because the animated holo barrel holo sprites were following a rolling piece of wood, so the chip on the sprites has a sensor that destroys the holo if it ever gets out of range of the thing it's supposed to follow. | 2011-03-18 17:42:00 Author: Chazprime Posts: 587 |
