A magnet! One that had the properties of a magnet and you could adjust its strength etc and could magnetize either constantly or when a switch is applied! Could be really useful and cool if they repelled each other! Just an idea!

If they did, the original poster of the idea could be entitled to money from Sony, or could sue if he had proof that it was originally his idea. That's what they are trying to avoid.

Apparently there are a couple of dedicated threads for suggestions/wishlists by Sam_Protagonist over at the workshop forums. Still, I was sure he had posted about them not being allowed to read suggestions from players but I can't find the post again... maybe they changed their minds/got the ok from the legal department.

why cant we a a pettiton that they have to look of suggestion to make the game better, plus it our suggestion that we think that will make the game better, so they could agure that by doing this they made the game better for them and they want it to be use in the game

They can't legally use any of our ideas, because for all Sony know, we could sue them for using it. There's no way around it, except that they read our suggestions, and think of their own ways to implement them in the game.

I'm sure they have some sort of disclaimer saying that any idea posted on the forum over there can be used. I know of a couple of games that do that, I'm sure this one is no better. Plus I doubt anyone would sue over a simple idea like magnets.

Our copyright/patent system is so broken. It wasn't designed for the way the world works today. I don't think I buy that Sony is worried about being sued by a user for implementing a suggestion. For one, they are a huge corporation that could hire a much better team of lawyers than any of us could imagine. Secondly, the fact that we're saying, "hey, use my idea" would most definitely be used against us in court. And if anyone did try to sue Sony for using a suggestion they gave them, I would hope the gaming community would lambast that person.
