Can Anyone Tell Me...

For one of my super secretive secret secrecy projects, one of the things I'd like to include is real-time recording, so you would say move your sackbot left, jump, move right then grab then you could press say L1 and spawn a sackbot that mimics your previous movements. Is this possible or not, and if so does anyone have a good way to do this?2011-03-16 04:10:00

ok one thing that i can think of that will probly work is that ur sackbot emits and invisble hologram that has a tag on it and have the other sackbot follow it

Not quite, Once sackbot 1 is dead, I want sackbot 2 to follow sackbot 1's path when he was alive, and be in control of sackbot 3 etc.2011-03-16 04:32:00

It's been talked about a few times but I have yet to hear of a perfect solution. There's been talk of emitting keys that capture signal percentages and such, but, to my knowledge, nobody has actually built a viable system.2011-03-16 05:30:00

I built a really jerky& erratic prototype that emitted holo w/ tags of actions on them but scrapped it because it was cumbersome and you couldn't stand in place2011-03-16 05:43:00

Could you use sequencers with direction settings? They would remeber how long you pressed certain things right? And then reverse the input?2011-03-16 06:55:00

You could in theory build a system recording control input faithfully using delays and sampling circuitry on emitted holo, but at 30 fps you'd kill the thermo in no time flat since every frame would need to be recorded on a separate emitted chip. Better think of a simpler alternative.2011-03-16 10:42:00
