Here's how my tank project is coming along.

Instead of just making it look realistic I wanted it to move and sound like the real thing too, so I've spent a lot of time on the sound design and suspension.

You can do a bunch of things like open up the hatches, fire two types of ammunition with or without tracking cameras, fire smoke grenades, change gears, use the gunner's sight and stuff like that. I think it's the first tank in LBP where you can actually traverse the turret as well.

impressive, but it must be slightly disappointing that you can't turn the turret to the other side without clunky emitters controlling that kind of animations.2011-03-16 02:14:00

True story: when I looked at the first picture I thought for sure that was the "reference pic" for how the tank should look.
That's some incredible detailing, it's looking great!

Even though the tank is finished the level for it is taking way longer than I thought it would. I've been working on this since release and I'm kinda fed up with it now.

Yeah, it looks bad when you turn the turret but at least it works.

My mind is absolutely blown. That has to be the most realistic, life like tank I have ever seen. You certainly are amazing with detail, and I can't wat to see the final product!2011-03-20 21:09:00

I'm working on some updates for this to fix bugs along with a adding systems to calculate range and replace the tracks.

Since there aren't enough buttons on the controller some commands (like changing ammunition type) will be moved to a graphic user interface based off the tank commander's panel in later models of the Leopard 2.
