http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=974&pictureid=8846 We're doing it again! A group of players competing against each other to win amazing prizes. Seriously amazing! For those of you who didn't know, since the early days of LBPCentral, members of the LBPC community have been playing a LBP version of Survivor - competing in challenges, voting each other out, all leading up to one person becoming the Sole Survivor. We're starting a new game! For the first time ever, we're doing things in LittleBigPlanet 2! Also new... For the first time ever, three of the biggest LBP forums will face off! This time, members from LBPCentral, LittleBigLand, and LittleBigPlanetarium will battle it out for forum competition supremacy! Regular Game Format: Once we get all of the players, I'll divide them into teams. Every 2-3 days there will be a challenge where the teams face off and the losing team must vote one of their own out of the game. This time, challenges will come in 3 varieties: 1 - Challenges where players get to play on their own - either as many times as they want when going for a high score, or trying to be the first to get through a level. 2 - Head to Head challenges where we'll set a meeting time for everyone to get online and take everyone on. 3 - Single player challenges where players must find me online at their convenience. On LBPCentral and LittleBigLand, players will each be invited to their team's group page. There, they can interact with fellow teammates and get all of the latest updates on the game. All LittleBigPlanetarium action will take place in their main contest thread. Once a good portion of players have been eliminated (exact number to remain secret until it happens), the teams will merge and competitions will then become individual. The forum that hosts the merge will be decided on by the staff based upon the composition of the remaining players. The winner of these individual challenges gets immunity from being voted off. All remaining players will vote for one of those remaining. Once we get down to the final vote, a specific number of recently eliminated players will each cast a vote for who they want to win. Most votes in the final vote becomes the Sole Survivor. Rules and format for each challenge will be presented to the players following each vote. Other variations may occur and will be explained to the players as the game progresses. Doesn't LBP max out at 4 players? Since LBP maxes out at 4 players, I've devised challenges that will work around that limitation. Some challenges will have the individual contributions of each team's members adding up to a whole, some will have head to head battles, some will require 2-3 from a team working together. Descriptions of the Season 3 - 5 challenges can be found here on LBPCentral. Want in? Here's what you need to do. Post in this thread saying that you want to play. Once you do, I'll send you a questionnaire to fill out. Fill it out and await further info. Once we're about to start, I'll send you an invite to your team's group page. It's that simple! Potential new recruits will need to play a few levels with me so I can get a feel for their skill level. However, there are some requirements for potential players: Be willing to play a few levels with me as a part of the trial so that I can personally see what you're capable of. Once the players are chosen, you must let me know who, if any of the players you have a preexisting relationship with. Be willing to check the forum at least once a day and play in a challenge once every 2-3 days. Be able to make it to the occasional scheduled meet up. Be willing to stick with this game for as long as you're still in it. If this starts in late March, we'll probably end sometime in late April. Be willing to vote in the final vote even if you're a sore loser you aren't satisfied with the final two. Be able to take in game screenshots and either post them online or send them to me. Be able to respond to messages and group posts in a timely manner. Be willing to follow the rules of a given challenge. Be willing to follow the rules of the overall game. Be willing and able to create an account at the location of the merge group. Finally, while this isn't a requirement, it will be beneficial for anyone playing to use Windows Live / MSN messenger or any other compatible service. Since there isn't a chat feature on the site any more, this will help everyone keep in touch much, much easier... They are no real limits to who can join this game. Please be somewhat coherent and have at least some grasp of how to play LBP. I also advise anyone who wishes to play to look up the basics of Survivor. As I said before, the winner will get amazing prizes! The winner will get a $20 PSN Card! Also, the winner will get 1500 Forum XP. Teams will be announced on March 31. The game will begin on April 1. Challenge History Challenge 1 For the first challenge, a player from each team will face off in a race to assemble a four piece puzzle. Players must get through four sections, obtaining a puzzle piece at each. Ultimately, players must bring all four pieces to the end of the course where they will use jetpacks to assemble the puzzle. The first player in each set of three to correctly complete their puzzle in the correct puzzle frame will earn their team a point. The first team to 3 points gets first place and ends the challenge. If no team gets 3 points before the end of the play period, the team with the most points wins. Second goes to the team with the next highest number of points at the end of the play period. Higginbotham finished first with 3 second place finishes. Handforth finished second with two second place finishes. Challenge 2 Each will go into an enclosed room where they will get a jetpack. Once they're in the air, players must grab a black polystyrene ball and use it to knock away red electrified balls. Every few seconds, a new electric red ball will drop from the top of the room. There are three locations where they will drop. Ten will drop from each location. If left alone, all 30 will fall into the hole in the center of the room. Players must try to knock the balls into the holes on either side of the room. Each ball knocked into the sides will earn ten points. After all 30 balls have dropped, the run ends. The team with the highest combined score after all players have gone or at the end of the play period will win. Due to the uneven numbers, only the top five Higginbotham and Handforth scores will count. So... some new stuff. First of all, we're expanding this season's competition to include players from the forums at LittleBigLand and LittleBigPlanetarium. Now it's going to be sort of a battle of the forums... Also, since I'm going to be recruiting from all 3 sites, that cuts down on the number of players I'm looking for from each site. As it stands right now, we're still looking to get as many players as possible from all three sites. If somehow we end up with an extreme rush of applicants, we might expand the number of players this season. So yeah. Represent LBPC with pride. Defeat the other forums. Win DLC! Also, I'll be officially announcing the staff that will be helping me out this season shortly. Got some interesting picks this time...

If anyone has the time to take part in this competition I highly recommend it. I took part in an earlier version and it was fantastic fun, well worth doing. I know nothing of the television show it's based on but it didn't stop me really enjoying it. Go for it!
