Making a moving platform move down, stop, and go back up later in a cutscene

I'm trying to make a cutscene in my level where the villain comes down on a jet-powered platform, gives a speech, then leaves by floating up and offscreen. The character and platform are made, but I don't know where to go from there.

A visual equivalent in LBP2's story mode would be in the first batch of cutscenes, where Avalon flies down on a platform, talks, then flies back up and out. I feel like the key is in how I get the platform to stop at a certain point (Likely something involving a mix of tags and movers), but don't know how to go about doing it.

Yea, sequencer would work. Place a sequence of followers on it, set each follower to follow different tags (use labeling: 1,2,3 ect) then just place the tags where you want the platform to go.2011-03-15 05:47:00

Or if its just up and down movement place two batteries on the sequencer in the time you want them to affect the mover, wire them into a direction combiner (make sure you don't criss cross) and you should be golden.2011-03-15 06:17:00

I'll give everyone's advice a shot. One thing, though- I have my platform's anti-gravity set to 100% on all 3 sliders so that the guy and props on top of it don't cause it to slowly sink before it's supposed to come down. Should those be at a specific setting that will enable it to be moved, but stay immobile until prompted to?2011-03-15 14:23:00

Still stumped, but I've added some pictures:

This is the platform. I have an Anti-Gravity modifier on it with the first two options (Anti-Gravity and Dampening) set to 100% so the guy on it doesn't bring it down. The problem is, I think dampening will have to be off to get it to move up or down, but then the platform will have reached the ground before the player makes it to the sequence and its appointed trigger. There's also a tag sensor and a follower set to follow a tag below, but I've realized having the sensor when the follower already picks up the tag is kind of redundant.

Here's a hologram with a tag meant for the platform to follow and stop at when it reaches the middle of its location. However, when I try attaching a battery to the mover, it starts moving down before the sequencer even starts. Then again, that could be the dampening being set to less that 100%.

Sorry to make this so complex, but I still have no idea what to do because of being unable to keep the platform suspended until the sequence trigger.

Set a tag on the sequencer that is called Stop Dampening. Set a tag sensor as inverted to attach to the anti-grav switch. While the tag is active the switch will be off. Make the tag run the full length of the sequencer.2011-03-17 05:43:00
