LBP Friends in Japan
Archive: 7 posts
Hi Everyone, Many of us here have friends on our friends list from Japan that we play and create with. I have one who's psid is ryoupapa. He signs in everyday to play LBP. He has not signd on since the earthquake in Japan. I am praying that he and his family is ok. I thought it would be nice if everyone could look him up on LBP2 and wish him well. Also, if anyone else has friends from Japan that seems to be missing maby you could list them as well so we could do the same for them and show them that we care. | 2011-03-15 01:40:00 Author: Knucklerider Posts: 72 |
You shouldn't think the worst. Not to say you shouldn't think of them at all, it's always good to still keep everyone in your thoughts. As for people in general, personally know multiple people who live in Japan, and the reason why most of them are not online currently has been either two reasons. First is that they were affected by the quake itself, which caused damage to their homes/ belongings. You deal with that stuff first before coming back online to play LBP. There's also the constant aftershocks that frequently touch 5.0 in magnitude. Even if your internet is stable enough to go online, you don't particularly want to so soon after this tragedy and while still lingering with its after effects.. There is also the power rationing going on. Second reason is that they were not affected by the quake or tsunami, but are either affected by the rolling black outs or choose not to go online, to try to help friends/ family out. So basically, give them another couple weeks and I'm sure you'll see ryoupapa pop up, along with most of the rest of the Japanese community. Especially once Japan, as a nation, begins to get back up from this tragedy. | 2011-03-15 02:44:00 Author: KoingWolf Posts: 386 |

See, alot of Japans power is lost. this may be why. But not all cities are affected by the quake/tsunami. Think positive. =] | 2011-03-15 09:26:00 Author: Onii55 Posts: 153 |

They estimated nearly four million homes were without power following the quake, because they had to shut down several nuclear reactors to prevent them from melting down. The odds are likely that your friend is one of these affected. Still, hope he is ok! | 2011-03-15 14:48:00 Author: Thegide Posts: 1465 |
I know that an emergency energy plan is in use, so there are 2 time frames, each of 3 hours, every day when the power supply is suspended. | 2011-03-15 15:16:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
