sackbot woes

Hello,everyone..i have a couple questions. well ive made a sackbot enemy complete with firing weapon and score giver...he works wonderful..but...how do i create a working health bar that follows the sackbot? ive tried the whole youtube tutorial thing with no luck..i know to use hologram material..i can almost make it work but...no luck yet....please guys any help would be wonderful...thanks.2011-03-15 01:14:00

What are you using to damage it, projectiles or other? Either way, you can use a counter or projectile sensor as health bar. Just place it on some invisible holo and set to follow tag in enemy.2011-03-15 01:35:00

HI. try this. Create a flat holographic square (5x5 wide), at the bottom middle of this gris stick a microchip on the top of this holographic block place a projectile sensor.
The setting for the bar should have the SWITCH VISIBLE ONY turned on. It will apperar above his head in play or prieview mode. Now open the chip on the holographic block nad place the following- A FOLLOWER (speed-100, strenght-100, min radius-0, max- 30, follow tag-blue). This makes this holo-block follow the sackbot exactly. On the actual sackbots chip place a blue tag so the block will follow the asckbot. Set the holographic blocks brightness to 0 as this will make the block invisible in play mode and the projectile sensor bar will appear to hover in the air above the sackbot.

lol, sorry about the bad spelling. Basically how it works is that the sackbot has a tag paced on his chip. The holographic material has no weight of mass so floats. A follower placed on the holographic material that matches the tag on sackbot flollows the sackbots tag. setting the speed of this follower to 100 matches the sackbots speed exactly so this block will follow your sackbot round like a 'holo-skin' You can tick things onto the holographic block (like a projectile bar, a timer bar, a controllinator seat, etc) and if you make the switch visible in the bars tweaks the will show up on the block where you placed them, but because the holographic blocks brightness is set to 0, you wont see the block they are placed on, just the block.
