Logic Frustration

Hey LBPC,

I'm trying to make a logic thing where there are numerous dissolve items. I pick one up, place it in a box, I get 100 points then it disappears. I try to do this but I end up dissolving all the items or something else. please help me or my idea will become worthless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I belive you could give the items a destroyer and a scorce giver that is triggered on destruction.
I recomend 0 brightness hologram with a tag on it. Put holo in box.
Put sensor on the items.

Wire it up and you should get:
Drop item in box.
Tag sensor activates.
Destroyer activates.
Score giver activates.

Are you hitting the dissolve score giver lag issue, where you are getting zero points? I have to place a score giver and a timer, the time is set to the dissolve. If you need to place 100 items in, and there are more than 100 in the area, then using a tag set to invert will not work, you just need a item that reads the tag as they are dropped in (you could have the item that turns on the score and timer for the destroyer turn on the tag as well so they can only be counted once).

Sooo...
something like tag in drop box set off score, tag in dropee, and timer, and the tag in the dropee that is now active once will activate a counter via a tag sensor in the drop box...but if you are sure issues with players losing points or such would not cause the item to misread, then as the other poster said score sensor is much better, just have it turn off after the player is done in the area.

I played your levels on LBP PSP. they are uber.
There hasn't been any issues so far, and celsus your reply is virtually the same idea that i used now, tag in box and when sensor is dropped in i get points.
