Basically, the Output of the Switch is plugged in to Both Inputs of the XOR Gate. So when you push it, the Light doesn't go off.

Uses: Makes your button feel useless. Makes him Emo.

Edit:

Guess what!

What?

The Redundant Switch is now a level Pack!

That's right folks, and you can play both levels (more possibly to come, dependant on what reaction I get) for free on Little Big Planet 2!

The First Level Can be Found here: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=58962-The-Redundant-Switch-Pack-Level-1

The Second Here: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=58963-The-Redundant-Switch-Pack-Level-2

It sure is redundant..
Though I think I can optimise it a bit. This is how: Delete microchip.

The XOR Switch is only active when ONE (and only ONE) of the Inputs is active anymore kills it.

Ah, genius I can relate to

Perhaps you'd like to cast your eyes over these plans I've been drawing up for a prosthetic appendix?

The XOR Switch is only active when ONE (and only ONE) of the Inputs is active anymore kills it.

It'll actually let an analog signal through as long as less than two of the digital inputs are "on". So if you tried this with a control seat analog stick and a light set to "brightness scale" the light would light up... Just no more than 75%.

Well I didn't do that. Did I? No. I have no doubt that what you're talking about does what it does, but that's no reason to spoil my Buttons Emo-tude.2011-03-15 22:20:00

You could also connect the stitch to 3 inputs on the XOR. plus have an extra input with a battery (0%) attacked. the effect would be quite redundantly useless.2011-03-17 00:55:00

Yes, the Point of the switch is to be redundant. Redundant or not, I've suceeded.

The definition of redundant is to repeat unnecessarily or to have more than one initeration unnecessarily. So redundant would be hooking it into twenty chained "not" gates that don't invert input. I propose we rename this device simply to the "derp switch".

THough we can keep its current name. I suppose putting a single gate on a microchip could classify as redundant.

Not to diminish the genius of this device! This is the pinnacle of logic engineering. But a device this revolutionary needs an appropriatte title.

Remote controlled sackbot in the controlinator controlling him... paradoxical?
In lbp1 I made s switch that incorporated every switch and sensor....except sticker sensor... but it was incredibly redundant.

This would have to be the best and most complex object ever created in LBP2, Just look at all that wiring and switch.

Truly Amazing!
