Only 5 plays
I worked on this since I got LBP2..
It's so much better than anything I ever created before.. And the same thing happened again.. Nobody played it.

Have you tried doing Feedback 4 Feedback? You know, playing and commenting (in the forums) on other levels, especially those marked F4F? I hear it can really increase your visibility - in addition to the great advice you can get from fellow creators...2011-03-15 14:12:00

Hmm, I should try that.

I can tell you put a lot of work into this, the apartment is gorgeous - love the view. The teleporting is a bit abrupt, and the level is really long for how little the player does. Like I said, the effort is really evident, but there's no indication of what the gameplay will be like, no sense of action. Even when we're allow to free roam there's nothing to do. It's more like an intro movie. There's things you could do to punch it up, but I think your effort will be better spent on the continuation. The iPod holo was really bright on my screen, but I have the settings all weird to read text on my ancient television, so it might just be me. Please don't take this too harsh: there's really good stuff going on here, and I look forward to the next installment!2011-03-17 15:03:00

very interesting detailed level, but i think it should have turned into a platformer level in the end where you have to find your way through the wreckage

Hi Ezhik

Wow, what a great looking level! Well done, for all your attention to detail, the apartment was fantastic, I particularly loved the smaller window down stairs where you could see the 3d city scape out side Nice use of cameras and teleporting, though one ( I think the one where you go in the lift) took AGES to load up.
Oh, the Iphone at the beging, like Kanada mentioned was so bright I couldnt see what was going on it it, just a bright white light (though again, beautifully done)
I LOVE all the detail in your game, the wheels on the car really stood out as being odd, as everything else was so well done (was that an MM item perhaps?)

Ok, so praise over with, and praise indeed, but heres the problem....... How ever pretty your level is, it doesnt really have a point. K, you could argue its just a 'show off' level for your talent.....or maybe an interactive movie, but i dont think the story is strong enough for that. As suggested, why not add a few platforming sections in there, or puzzles, or a boss, or..well SOMETHING. The game has all the asthetics, and no game play, if i had to rate out of ten i'd have to score it quite low (sorry) Now if you had something to actually DO, and it was done well, you would be on your way to having a VERY good level indeed.

You will find most like to cryticise levels rather than praise, I believe in 'trying' to do both. Learn from what people say, and dont get disheartened. Message me if you decide to add any more, and I'll happily update this review

Keep at at!

Now, if you could F4F my level House of the flying diggers boss fight, I'd like to know what you think.

Thanks for all your comments
Just updated the level:
Fixed the iPhone brightness
Added some 3D goodness
Some optimization
Added some music in the apartment
Background SFX
Made the ending better.

Also, this is just the introduction level, I really just wanted to set the mood with this one, and from your comments I can see that I succeeded. The second episode will focus on action.

Perhaps something broke in the update.
I got up to the "9" tower/building, but there is a big chunk of road missing after that.

EDIT:
I guess not?
There are no prompts or anything, I just walk straight through the building and drop down to the floor.
Is there a jump/button I'm not seeing?

I just tested the whole thing, everything works. Are you getting teleported to the lobby?2011-03-17 22:20:00

Hey Ezhik just checked out your level

I must agree that it looks great, you even made the drive to the friends house interesting to look at too, and most people don't bother with the driving bits, nice work.
I think you have the pacing to engagement down pretty good, I felt like it was in there and it was really happening and all that.
The only thing I want from it is more! Looking forward to what happens next, finding out what the pink haired girl is. etc.
Of note though, the camera swaps for entering the building and then going up the elevator were kinda jankey, i don't know if you're able to clean that up.

If you have some time, please check out my level and let me know how you do (where you might get stuck), it would be much appreciated. F4F in the sig. thanks.

Thanks, but I can't fix anything in the first part, it's overheating
Don't worry, you'll see more of the pink-haired girl on Episode 2
