hey, just checked out your level. I must say you are the king of camera. However there's that one camera right before the waterwheel that kinda kinda almost kills me as i walk forward. Also took me a bit to realize i had to turn around at the water wheel, you were pretty consistent with showing me which way to go so I figure you might want to put something there.. unless i missed it. Also at the end I kinda think the lower platform in the elevator bit ruins it... it'd be cool if you could get rid of it somehow without worrying about people falling back to the bottom. Otherwise some people might just stand there... (that might just be my tendency to make things harder speaking though) fun level overall though. f4f in the sig | 2011-03-14 23:47:00 Author: fei0x Posts: 61 |
Loved the intro, and the title was cool. The decor looks great and the level is well put together. The part with the grabinators and the flowers and rails was really creative. The big room with the cutscene right after the grabinators looks fantastic. In the same area the first bounce pad wasnt glued down. The sackbots in the windows are a really great idea. And the clothes lines to swing across are cute. The platforms after your "shown the way" with the big waterfall background was very visually impressive. The part with the grapple hook was well made, fun and a challenge. A checkpoint before the platforms that change to fire would be great. Ijust cant seem to get passed them, maybe its just me but if ppl keep having trouble maybe changing the order would help. i usually always bit the dust on the third platform. i really enjoyed your level and will try again in the future. | 2011-03-15 03:29:00 Author: PurpleIris88 Posts: 108 |
Thanks for all the positive feed back and i think i need to fix fire platforms and that one camera angle but in create its like its glitched or something idk but i will try my best to fix the problem and make it better thanks | 2011-03-15 21:22:00 Author: WCF7__ Posts: 63 |
It took me a few tries before I realized there was a secret to jumping the burning platforms. It's very similar to a trick question, in that the answer is obvious but goes against the natural paradigm. I liked the level, but it seemed very abrupt without the second part. | 2011-03-15 21:30:00 Author: Kanada Ten Posts: 87 |
It looks very promising. But I got stuck early on. After getting the grabinator, I found the thing I am presumably supposed to throw at the button, but I threw it to the left instead and never saw it again. After that the level was unwinnable, I think. Spelling and grammar is off all the over place, but you must already know that. | 2011-03-17 02:59:00 Author: zabel99 Posts: 179 |
A bounce pad not glued down, some annoying laying switching here and there. And some of the cameras were a bit awkward. I think the worst part are those last fire platforms. I would cut the ground fire out at the start. Or simply redo the section as a hole, with the fire platforms sticking up. Quite a charming level with the visuals and story, worth checking out. I have a similar clothesline part in my upcoming level too haha. EDIT: Have it queued for a replay at some point. | 2011-03-17 06:07:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |

That update makes the end much better. Boss is enjoyable enough, and had fun looking for the coins. http://i1.lbp.me/img/ft/e81c9be28ad53f450e89310e1eedc6d75fdffcbd.jpg | 2011-04-09 08:46:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Nice one. The level and platforming design was great, the boss was nice, too (although i can't figure out how throwing flowers at a mech can destroy it). The environments were pretty well made, and the music design really contributed to the level. Nicely done, a very good level.
