Did anyone else here spend time playing "The Movies" about 5 years back? It's a PC game where you made, er, movies, and could then post them online for viewing/rating etc. It was made by Lionhead Studios, although I'm not sure if Alex and Mark had left to form MM by that point. The only reason I ask is I'm finding the whole LBP process of creating something, then basically whoring it across each and every forum and website you can think of to try and get reviews, strangely but comfortingly familiar

I used to play it... It was cool. Although when I played it it was like a few years after it died, so I kinda missed it... but still, tis a shame, it could have been cool :/

Oh, back in the good old days the community was a thriving nest of barely disguised rivalries, where smiling members would shake you by the hand with one hand, whilst trying to pour powdered glass in your salad dressing with the other. Loved it I myself would have sold my grandmother for a few reviews if I hadn't needed the cheap labour...

I still have it installed on my pc, haven't played it in a couple of years though. I used to love it. Dang I was just looking and I still have Roller coaster tycoon on here too. I really need to clean this thing out.

I've still got one of the "movies" it generated sitting on one of my desktops. No way... my page is still chached somewhere on the 'tinterweb (http://www.tmoaradio.com/tmo-archive/studios/m/a/macnme.html) . It was a really good game - shame Lionhead don't keep their game servers running for longer periods. The same happened with the original Black & White - literally the day before I bought the game, they took the multiplayer servers offline
