well, title says it all.

every time i set up some music in my level, and trigger it( by walking by it or with a battery, or w/e) it goes on, but whenever i start to hover i dont hear any music.

and i know i can use my own music in create mode but, i like the lbp2 music too^^

If I were listening to my level's music for the whole time of the creation... I don't think I'd enjoy it after a while. Listening a 4 minute song all over again for 20 hours is... exhausting.2011-03-14 17:28:00

Well what I do is put two player sensors both set to max range. The other one has an inverted output. Connect both to an OR gate then connect the OR gate's output to the song. Hope this helps.2011-03-14 18:23:00

Won't above method reset the song's timeline with each switch between hover and normal?2011-03-14 18:26:00

How I do it is pull out a timer, set it too 0.1, plug its output to its reset, and its output to the music box. Although as midnight heist said, the music does reset everytime you switch. Just put on some of your own music, settings then music player 2011-03-14 18:33:00

Connect a battery to the music box, it'll play even if you pause.2011-03-14 18:36:00

Oh I know what you mean, I notice in LBP1 you play a music, pop and the music still plays while your hovering around creating, in LBP2 this was fix (fixed really? Idk why they took this out) but anyway, the simple way to do it.

Just place a random block (cardboard for example)
Put the song/music you wanna play and attach a player sensor to it, then just set the player sensor to Inverted and it plays while your hovering around, hope that helps!

A battery+music player actually works in hover mode as well. You can even switch songs by simply connecting the wire to another music player, while hovering, in pause mode and it will start playing the new song. I just tried it.2011-03-15 01:45:00

Firstly, pressing (In-Game) Start > Settings > Music Player, you can select some music from your PS3 to constantly play in create, not sure about in play.

Secondly, you could use a NOT gate (which should have an inverted output by default) and output it to the music.

Rewinding still works, as well.2011-03-15 22:26:00

So basically, you can listen to any music in create mode. You just need an inverted switch or a good track in the music player. 2011-03-16 22:15:00

Just connect a NOT gate to itself and the music. Then it'll automatically restart if you cause it to stop. It's not perfect, but the perfect solution would be to download all the LBP2 music to your PS3 and play it through the music player.2011-03-17 00:17:00

Set a NOT gate to play the music. But do it in hover mode, or when you hover it'll stop. OR you can set a timer to 0.1s and make it reset itself and start the music, so it constantly plays. Etc,etc, etc.

I can send you a music playlist of every LBP song of YOUR choice to play while you create. Just add me and tell me the songs.

You don't even need to place the music box, use any logic or download the music. Basically, you do this:
1. Turn on a second controller.
2. With the second controller, open the Tools Bag, and select (without pressing X) the music you want to play.
3. Undo.
That's it - the tools bag will close, but the music will keep playing. Enjoy!

While paused -
Hover, play, trigger the music box (I usually just land on it), rewind

done.

...or... Just place the music objects and hook toggles to them. While in hover mode switch the toggle to ON on the desired music.2011-03-17 20:48:00
