Grand Theft Auto Ideas/Suggestions

I have all the basics down for a GTA level (get in/out of a vehicle, pedestrians flee when shot at and cops chase you and give you a one star rating, kill a cop and get 2 stars, a health bar, change weapon, change radio station in car, HUD)but want some suggestions as to what else to add. Cars control lik my 'Little Crazy Taxi!' level and the city will look kind if similar but be laid out completely different. I was thinking of basing the missions on actual ones from the old game but probbaly only 3 or 4 depending on thermo. IDEAS you could add: Story characters Mission Cutscenes Friend Side Missions Phone (Cheats, Walkthrough, Level Options, etc. ?) Pay N' Spray Change Of Clothes. I've been wanting to give ideas since I saw the actual level. Here is some ideas I have. You should keep that timer thing. Screw having to finish a story to complete the games. You should have many different missions that span throughout the city. It would mean that the player or players(another idea I will get to) will have to explore the city and make a name for themselves. Rep/Street Cred: For each mission you complete you gain points that allow you access into different locations in the city and certain missions. To make it easier and also more fun it should be score points that you use for street cred, or rep. Players: It should only be A two player co-op if it's possible or not too much trouble. Guns: The player should start out with nothing but his fist. You want a AK to take out a couple of cops? Go find it. You should also choose wisely on the type of guns you have. You don't want your guns to look alike when it fires. Same thing for melee. Focus on the speed, strength, and spread. Secrets: You should have TONS of secrets. They don't have to be secret easter eggs or anything. Just levels and things that you don't go into detail about. If you are willing to go through with this level I can beta test it and do F4F I'm def going to do the story characters and a cutscene for each and side missions are what makes gta so they'll be included! but a pay n spray is a great idea n all but impossible unless he just changes car in the garage... the character will also look like your sackboy (top-down) so you can dress him how you wish u could add so u can take a taxi and have several way points listed and then u just choose one and the taxi drives there.It will prob be tough and i wish u good luck I don't think the city will be big enough for this to be necessary but it all depends on thermo. Im going to include the gun idea for definite and I already have different looking blasts from the shotgun and the pistol and i mite include a machine gun too! And i think i should def include opening up a bridge after a few missions cos it's such a gta thing its in all the games!! 2 player co op wnt be possible tho as I have HUD taking up a lot of the screen... let's how about day time / night time changing. It wouldn't make a huge difference to your level but it would perhaps make it a bit more up to date and maybe a bit more realistic here and there. I have all the basics down now logic wise so I'm starting making the city. When thats finished I'm goin to see how much room I have left in the level and then include any extra little gta stuff. A simple phone would be easy enough to make with some holo but I was going to just do a few missions lik you travel to the guys place and a little cutscene kicks in while he explains what he wants you to do. P.S Yeah I loved Chinatown Wars on the PSP but sold it...dunno why regretted it afterwards.. Yeah the thermometer is a bit of an issue on the game but then again, if there wasn't one people would cram stuff in there and the whole would lag to hell. I really like your idea and have been constantly searching for one like it but to no avail. THREE THINGS aswell: 1.) Will it be copyable? 2.) I can't say this really in a nice way...Hurry Up coz im too excited!!! 3.) Er... Can I have the rights to reproduce this level idea? Naw it won't be copyable cos usually when a level is made copyable people just download it and then put it straight back up as their own which is unfair on the original creator who put so much time into it.. If you want any certain parts tho I can give them to you as a prize or something just tell me when i put it up. Aaaand i think it will be another week before its up cos i don't wanna put up something half-assed. Of course you can recreate my idea cos its not really even my idea its just a remake of gta! theres a few online already. Dx I just got this idea. Main characters should have pictures appear above their head all of the time to distinguish then from others. Best to work with hologram. The player should just have his pic in the top right corner if you want to add him in(though it really wouldn't matter since you know that you're him/her). see the problem would be i'm using the 50 layer foreground glitch so if i use holo for a pic above their heads even when its on the front layer it will disappear into buildings and such. its already happening with the HUD so i don't want more of it... I think im jus gonna have coloured circles around the feet of the characters to make them stand out. thanks for the idea tho and it would work but i really want the buildings popping up to almost 50 layers cos it looks really good! | 2011-03-23 01:05:00 Author: Dangerlove Posts: 88 |
