Weird game crash

| Whenever I try to start LBP, the game crashes. I get to the Important Information warning, where it stays for around 10 seconds, and I'm thrown back into the XMB without warning or an error message. Now, I know there are people talking about corrupt saves and everything, but shouldn't that give me a message? I've got version 1.04 which worked on several startups, until suddenly no more. | Yeah, I tried running it without the network cable plugged in, and tried cleaning the disc (it's as good as new with no scratches). I even tried running other games to check if it was something wrong with my hardware. Uncharted works just fine. Oooohhhhh... this blows. I made a backup of the LBP file in Saved Data Utility then deleted it from my PS3. Game works fine again. But I've lost all ingame progress.
