Use sequencers. They help you to synchronize cameras, dialogue, music and other elements.
You do this by placing movie cameras on the sequencer, stretching them with the right joystick to change its duration and overlapping them to create transitions.
For music, place the music object at the section you want it to start and keep testing until it's timed!
For dialogue you can use subtitles, which appear at the bottom of the screen, or speech bubbles. Just select the sackbot you want to talk, give him an actor name, the place the magic mouth in the sequencer and set it to the same actor name.

How do you choose how long you want each magic mouth on for though if you want different mouths active for different amounts of time.? I've tried with the sequencer and can't get it to work right at all. You can only tweak the sequencer for "seconds per stripe", and not set individual times for certain stripes. I've tried setting the timing in the actual magic mouth and in the cameras but unfortunately the sequencer keeps overrididng them. Also there is no way to link cameras and/or magic mouth inputs together on a sequencer. It won't let you connect them to each other. How do you do it?2011-03-13 13:37:00

Once a magic mouth is placed on a sequencer, you can stretch it's length with the left stick, same as batteries and cameras.

Yes I tried that but it didn't seem to make any difference to me. It still cut off before I had chance to read it, even if I spread it over 4 or 5 stripes and had it set to 5 seconds per stripe! I found they worked much better off the sequencer than on it. I haven't managed to make anything on a sequencer work properly at all yet, so either I'm missing something or my sequencers don't work!?
