Sackbot to recognize button press by player?

Doesn't need to be. Set up a controlinator set as receiver "controlled by nearest player" and it'll respond to button presses without anybody being in a seat. But only the closest player... Either way my level is best played alone so it shouldn't matter much. Ok how do i get it to only trigger by proximity? My issue is when I press the talk button it activates it for all the npc's I have on in the map. | 2011-03-14 02:24:00 Author: Gutz Posts: 175 |
For that, you want to put the sacbot's controllinator within its own microchip on the sackbot's main circuit board. Then, make a player sensor with the radius set to whatever you want, and plug that sensor into the on/off input of the microchip. Now, only when a player is activating that bot's player sensor will its controllinator receive inputs. You can also type "talk" or something like that into the controllinator's "prompt" menu (which you get to by pressing square over whatever button you're using on the controllinator.)
