Controllinator Controllable Aircraft

Archive: 1 post

I started making planes as a side project to a top down spaceship shooter, and found a pretty good combination of speed and weight to simulate the movement of an aeroplane. So I decided to make a level containing all the planes I'd made, taken from across history.

All of the planes showcased in this level are fully controllable in the standard sidescrolling view, but currently they're only escapable in create mode due to the sealed nature of the windshield canopies, so they're purely something to play around with. Most of them are also armed with machineguns or rockets depending on the era.

Here is a full list of the planes available:

In Addition, I have updated the level with the 19th century prototype Aerodrome, the Short SC1 VTOL jet, a small cropduster plane, and the US Space Shuttle. All the propeller driven craft have also been refitted with working rotating blades.
