Detect an Explosion?
Archive: 6 posts
Is there an easy way to detect an explosion? For example, if I wanted to break some glass when it was next to an explosion. If it matters, I'm emitting an object that explodes immediately. I tried the fire projectile sensor, but it doesn't seem to be quite that easy. While I'm at it, anyone have a good glass shattering effect? I assume you could do that by making the glass disappear and then emitting some small pieces of glass. | 2011-03-12 02:41:00 Author: Roo5676 Posts: 62 |
Well to make it sense a explosion put a tag on the emmited object, and put a tag sensor near the explosion this will allow it to recognize the explosion. | 2011-03-12 02:49:00 Author: fireblitz95 Posts: 2018 |
I had tried that before without any luck and thought it didn't work because the object was destroyed too quickly so the tag never registered. But I just tried again and it worked, so I must have had something messed up before. Thanks. | 2011-03-12 03:39:00 Author: Roo5676 Posts: 62 |
No problem, glad I could help ^^ | 2011-03-12 04:16:00 Author: fireblitz95 Posts: 2018 |
Could invert the tag sensor too. Place a the tag on the objects to be blown up and now when the explosion is triggered the tag will be destroyed thus triggering the tag sensor. Unless instead of DETECTING an explosion you want the explosion triggered by the tag... Then fireblitz would be correct. *high five* | 2011-03-12 04:57:00 Author: DigiOps Posts: 111 |
