Whee. I'd try it... since it'd be free. Presumably. Anyway, yep.

Anyone who tried it on PC, what do ya thinka bout it?

I haven't tried it but I decided to do a little research on this after hearing the news. (I didn't look up every detail on this)

Combat seems kinda bland, you won't get tons of moves like in other MMO (though this makes sense for bringing it to PS3 since theres not a lot of buttons) and unlike other MMOs combat is NOT required to progress or unlock anything major. And you can change jobs when you want. And the jobs go in 3 categories: Combat, Crafting, and Playing (or something like that, the 3rd one is for certain minigames like racing) and your earn exp based on it. Example is a Warrior gets exp for killing monsters, a race car driver gets exp for winning races.

Now what else I'm reading is the premium (paid) content also affects job levels. As in you can't advance your characters job level past 4 without paying. So thats a downer. However like LBP, MMOs get lots of game changing patches and this will be no exception. So who knows maybe down the road they'll remove the level cap for free players. Free Realms sounds like what Playstation Home would be if it was an MMO. Home has potential but they just haven't really showed it much (Sodium one is like the only thing i truly enjoyed from it), and I think Free Realms too has potential, guess I'll just have to wait and see how it grows over the next few months

I say anything that is "Free" but has premium content for sale that impacts gameplay should not be called free. It's really just trickery. Its seems Free is only truly free 30% of the time.2011-03-11 21:02:00

OMG! I cannot wait. Presumably you can carry on your PC character.

Except they've confirmed you can't. So sorry You'd also need to repurchase your membership and everything, and can't play alongside the PC crowd :/

Hmmm i guess i might as well give it a go--presuming it really is free month to month( heard it was like 12 bucks to purchase though) I havent played an MMO since Final Fantasy XI. FF XIV is a disaster and i don't like DC Universe, so this is probably the only way im playing an MMO this year.2011-03-13 15:20:00

It is free to play, but you can only level up to 4 in all your stuff. To get a lifetime pass is only 35 dollars though, so I mean, really, that's pathetically cheap :/ Course there must be an item shop but eyah.

Yeah I hate this too. Those "free to play" games are a genre now and it's just the perfect little mind trick name to catch people. Seriously, I think it's pretty disgusting. It's more like "free to try" and even then, it's almost like a limited demo.

Reminds me of a remake of the My Little Pony song...
My little Pony, All skinny and bony, waiting to be fed, I can't get it out of my head

"We'll be the first free-to-play casual MMO ever offered on the PlayStation Network,"

Sodium One (abbreviated as S1) is a massively multiplayer online game based in and exclusive to the PS3's online community-based social gaming network PlayStation ? Home.

Too bad, yer a little bit late.
By a little, I mean, about over a year of course. xD

So is LBP, no?

Tho I'm not really expecting it to be good tho, not without paying at least, considering that's how they make their money with these things.

You know, you can only do the bary basic stuff free, but have to pay for access to pretty much 99.9% of the rest of the game.
To be fair tho, even if you have to pay for all that and have only access to the very basics, it IS free after all, so you stil have access to a bit without playing.
(Yet again, I think they hook more people and make more money like that, which may be the only reason they do that.)

Anywho, anyone else noticed the store already has the "Memberships" for "deluxe access" up?
1 month, 3months, 1 year, and Lifetime, lifetime costung like $39.99, so I guess its not that bad either.

A quick heads up for trophy lovers/ haters of games with 0% stuck on their list.

You will need to be a member to earn trophies, so upgrade to a monthly or lifetime subscription and enjoy all the benefits of membership!

I had no idea what I was supposed to do when I started the game, after creating my character. I found a pirate game, but it wouldn't let me play unless I was a member 2011-03-30 17:25:00

Mines downloading... guess i should just go to sleep. To those worried about paying for premium content, dont be. You could easily spend 60 bucks on a game you could beat in a week or 2, or you could buy the life time membership for cheaper and have a game that could last months. Thats generally how MMO's works. Plus they need money to maintain the servers and such.

Im just glad there is a "Free" Version, unlike DC Universe where you have to buy the game at full price, just to get the 30 day trial.
