ok so i have a bunch of top down shooters all the same series and im going to link them into 1 full game. my question is would this put you off playing it by knowing your gonna be level linked through map after map? Or pis...ed off if it wasnt told to you in the description, leave a comment.2011-03-10 23:14:00

Interesting question

I'd probably put a heads up in the level description that it's a series of linked levels just to be safe. Really most of us only get annoyed when we're level linked to a completely unrelated level, used as a cheap tactic to get more plays.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind being linked to extra levels as long as it's still part of the original level I decided to play.2011-03-11 01:41:00

I dont particularly enjoy being shoved into playing a level I didnt choose to play, and I nearly always leave, just because they forced me to play it. However, I think if I was given a heads up ahead of time, it would be better. So yes, Id recommend putting it in the desctription.2011-03-11 02:29:00

Generally, if I see "Part 1" or something like that in the title, I know that I'm in for a level series instead of a single level. As long as it's made clear that it's all one adventure, I'm fine with it. However, I do tend to pay attention to whether or not the creator ran out of thermo or screen real estate, or just cut their level up to get more overall plays.

I'll agree that it's annoying to be sent to an unrelated level, but if the level is clearly a follow up to the first, I don't mind. Even if I don't want to play it, hitting Start and Return to Pod isn't exactly going to wear out my controller.
