This doesn't belong here but...

Hey mods if your reading this:

I have a question. And sorry but it doesn't really fall into the category of feedback or any other on the site. Don't ban me Plz!

But I was wondering if there was more room for lbp community related stuff on he homepage updates. Don't get me wrong I love the stuff that is put on there at the moment but I feel you could add some more variety to what is on there.

I am not trying to advertise myself in this thread but I think that some machinima or original media content would be great to see pop up when you log in. This was the case with warlord_evil's massive LBPC pic and everybody loved it.

All I am saying in personal opinion is that there is some more space for unique ideas to get publicly noticed.

I completely agree. Showing support for something awesome within the community like an outstanding video, or even a cool looking project would be something diferent to see!

I support this!

Thanks for your backing guys! I am glad I am not the only one with my opinion

Such things could include:

Sackima - for machinima

LittleBigPodcast?

Other YouTube channels that specialise in Original content? ( i.e- mine and sims new channel )

LBP art maybe?

Just some more chances for people to become well known in this vast universe

Aye, this site's been turning more iinto "General Chat Central" instead, I'd like to see more support towards LBP stuff again, as well.
Because right now, seems like LBP-things are just a side part of the site tbh...

I agree in that more community projects should be showcased... ATM, CC is absent because he's busy with applying for college (according to him last night whee) so that's why we haven't seen him... as such he says that's why he hasn't looked at LBPC too much recently... but I think we should have some team of people supporting community projects and such. So yes, I agree, we should bring back the News Team. Even though it only consisted of Killian before he became a mod and some other guy I can't rememebr... but still, bring back the NEws team :kz:2011-03-12 21:29:00

No to clans, while I personally have no problem with them, most of the community seems to dislike them.

Yes to everything else - add tutorials to that list as well.

I hate clans. I think their nothing but elitists (no offensive to any clan members here).

But yeah, we should go with this.

If you've been here during LBPC's development stages, you would remember the Homepage being made up of the Community's news, not just some Spotlight or site upgrade. I liked it back then, when you contribute a finding (like that Home space on LBP's box), and if the mods/admin liked it you'll it on the Homepage. Now it's not even giving us news at all.

I liked the old Homepage updates, because it represented the Community and their thoughts and ideas on LBP.

Sweet! well we should form a petition (or something) to show to CC when he gets back from looking at College's

We could make some well known names from this idea! So lets do it! :hero:

So, my guess is mods/ CC havn't seen this?
Yet again, CC and all that college stuff can impede him from doing so..

How about you mods, what's the opinion on ths matter from you guys?

So, let's say we were entertaining the idea of doing this (I'm not saying we are - but I think it's worth discussing), what specific stuff would you guys want to see? What would the criteria be to be featured? If someone made a piece of art that gets featured and someone else makes something that isn't featured is that fair?

I'm just looking for clarification from you guys what you think would be appropriate content and how the selections would be made.

You need a lbp project section so people can showcase their project. Their should be a feed back section to so people can send feedback about levels and ideas. (Just my opinions)2011-03-15 18:33:00

Well now, if we cared about fair, would we be playing LBP?

As for my two cents, I vote that a combination of current staff (Mods, Wiki Mods, Spotlighteers, etc) who can take on the extra work and a new bunch of hand-picked members form a News Team so to speak, and are given the power to approve submissions based on guidelines set in place by the moderation team.

Basically, the same type of system we had before all these upgrades and site changes.

I'd think the news team should be on the lookout for anything related to LBP.

Like for instance, updates and interviews and standard stuff... but they should also give spotlight to community projects. And, well, yeah. Community projects. /cough

OH YEAH!!!
I am in full support of this as a concept and would happily help it to become reality. I am in fact, so going for it that I may quit a job to do it!(I have plenty of jobs, so don't worry).
ANYTHING that I can do then let me know.
P.s. I think that big events and things that are benificial to the community should go onto the news.

This may sound a bit dumb but I feel like this all is over my head

I think I mereley Planted the idea as a seed in everyones mind and I am proud of that in some ways.

But yeah I personally just wanted to get more unknown talent intothe spotlight. That was my main impulse to make the thread.

To be honest who doesn't want to be "famous"? I know I do
