With the advent of new styles of games being invented in LBP2 (I'm looking at you, top-downs), the standard toolkit is now more restrictive than ever for our artistic needs. In two years, we've seen only a minor handful of useful decorations added to our popit, yet we sit on a mountain of stickers. It like to put forth the suggestion that Mm develop some creator deco packs that contain things like scenery bits (rocks, trees etc), panels (rectangles, etc), wheels, and just about anything else. I'm interested in what sorts of things you guys would like to see added.

Well i agree with you but one problem. Like all of us we like to make our own stuff so yeah. Everyone mainly get on everyone head for using created objects. It would be nice but you'll only see someone use it once then it will be forgotten just like that. Well we definitely need more stickers though....Another sticker pack maybe? It could be based off of Star Wars so the lbp community can make their own Star Wars pack

God, we have 1000s of stickers. Especially if you (like me) have all non-exclusive DLC, and Have gotten everything in both games. You have hardly any decos though. So yes, I think they should get more decos. But not get rid of sticker DLC.

I wnat more armor type stuff, Things like lights, space stuff, wings, A sackperson and sackbots body. Oh, i could go for hours listing the stuff i want. a cell phone deco. make two deco packs. 1 for creators, meant mainly for level scenery and stuff, and another for costume makers, things that can be put on clothes to make them look cooler. that would be neat. I REALLY wish they could make an update so that you could put stickers ON decos. That would be amazing.

More decos is always welcomed. i mostly use them for costumes but in general it feels there are not enough useful decos. *mew

I'm all for more decorations. I just wonder how the game handles them. Seems like they'd be more of a strain just because there's more polys. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't want an enormous library of decorations to choose from, but still have about the same amount in my levels. Maybe a little bit more. I'm actually trying to build the interior of a house, and I'm finding house-themed decorations to be pretty sparse. One thing I could use a lot less of is stickers. I'm sure a lot of creators use them, but I almost never do. It would be nice to see more stickers for shading/painting though.

Great idea! Here are things I would like to be added. P.S. Im not sure if some of these are in DLC Packs already because I don't have all of them. Feather, Worms, Gold Star Sticker, Bell, Fire, Buttons(Etc.), Sharp Nail, Realistic Finger, Donut, Pencils, Paper, Erasers, those are just some of my ideas. =D Also i'm not sure about you guys but there is a section in my decoration list named "Bits And Bobs" I only have one decoration there and it's an antenna... There maybe more because I don't have the DLC's though, but if any one has other things on the section please share.

Way of changing color of decos by stickering them with 1-2 stickers or choosing color from palette allowing to use decos greater amount of situations

I've only realized the full potential of stickers in the past few months... and they certainly are more powerful then I initially gave them credit for. However, we clearly have far too many of them, the majority of them are really useless, and deco's are far more useful in my opinion than any sticker out there. With a larger slection of deco's we can even create more of our own stickers that would be more useful than the ones we've been given. I absolutely love flamesterart's idea of several separate deco packs that are geared towards differnet aspects of the creative process. We could certainly use better costume themed deco's... especially considering how many times we get an awesome costume piece only to be disappointed in finding out the hair is stuck to the hat, or that the goggles weren't a separate piece, etc. Cellphones, backpacks, guns, guns in holsters, more pouches similar the one (that's 1... and only 1) from the MGS pack... these kinds of things would be useful. The idea of more generic commonplace items such as things you find in houses and office buildings is great too... especially given that we are now starting to see more movie types of levels with story lines. These kinds of levels would greatly benefit from small details of things you would normally see sitting around in the background of real environments/sets/locations. An empty glass, a half empty glass, a stack of dirty dishes, a set of keys lying on the table, a coat hanging on the wall, things like that for interiors could all be useful. The only problem here is trying to nail down a really concise list of the best everyday items that would be most beneficial for the community as a whole. Outdoor scenery is certainly something that could use some attention... especially as you are suggesting for top-down levels. Trees, hills, junk piles, leaf piles, more building details such as windows and doors... anything we can't create but need to put into our levels to help immerse the player and sell the illusion of being in and outdoor environment. Personally, I'm of the mind that we can never have too many gadgety things. The sci-fi or techy looking stuff seems to lend itself best to most levels in some capacity... given that a ton of levels are being created with fantasy in mind as opposed to real life recreations (though this is slowly changing I suppose). This is a really tough one to nail down, which I would imagine might be part of the reason Mm haven't given us these kinds of "Creator Deco Packs" as of yet. I think we would need to wait until a lot of people chimed in and then begin to compile a concise list of the most useable objects out of those suggestions... so you're off to a good idea here so far Thegide. Certainly in my opinion, the absolute best option for us would be the ability to sticker all of our deco's. I have built far too many contraptions or set pieces only to know that if I could just change the colour of the deco's to match my creation, it would look flawless and as though it had been professionally built and designed for that application specifically by Mm themselves. Maybe if enough people see this thread and start adding ideas, you could compile a complete deco wish list for Mm to peruse. I certainly get the impression that this was your intention anyways. I'm far too tired and rambling to get straight to the point right now (3:00 am ... really?), but I'm going to give this some more thought and get back to you once coffee is running through my system again. I'd like more decorations, and/or ways to colour/sticker them. In the same line, some more objects would also be nice. Can't think of anything specific right now, but anything rounded you can't make out of flat shapes will do.

Stickers are images, that sometimes can be done in few minutes, decos are 3d models that need to be textured and shaded, sometimes even animated and effected by physics, so they need a lot more efforts. This is why we always gonna have more stickers then deco or even model objects. Thru i aggre we need a little more of them

Yes, but because stickers are images, I can create any sticker myself with enough work (except for the transparant parts). But there's no way to create decorations, and you can only do so much with regular shapes. So to me stickers seem practically worthless, I never consider them when deciding to buy DLC.
