This mays sound like im new but im not. I just dont know what dampening does. Any explaination please.

Think of it as air friction. If you put dampening on an object that has no gravity, it slows down once nothing is imparting motion to it.

It tries to restrict the object it's placed on from moving; 100% dampening will make the object immovable, like light and dark matter.

An example of it's usage: You have a zero-g spaceship controlled by Joystick Rotator. When you let go of the stick, it spins wildly because there's no air resistance. Increase the dampening and you'll find a 'sweet spot' where it decelerates the rotator whilst still allowing the ship to travel at an acceptable speed. As with most things in LBP2, it's not a precise science, much tweaking is required to balance object speed/acceleration/dampening etc.

think of it as a constant force that resists movement. It's similar to friction, but it doesn't require anything touching it.

Actually reagirding this topic: Does anyone knows what is the difference between "Dampening" and "Zero Beoyancy". Because I jsut find out that both of these are preventing movements. But not sure what is the exact diffeence and if it is sometimes better to ose one, and sometimes better to use the second one?

Umm.... "Zero Buoyancy" is for if it floats in the water.
