Burning Love - A towering Inferno emotional journey

Archive: 9 posts

I put allot of time into this introduction level which has some fantastic game elements in my opinion. A story of love and sacrifice. There are some pretty humorous moments and some parts of the level that if you don't do correctly will end the game right now. I would love to continue with this level if the interest is there as I have lots of plans for the two main characters. Please check it out and level some feedback and I would be glad to return the favor. I promise you won't be disappointed.

that was a nice idea to do a level of this kind!
well, all i got to say is that i see how much love you put in the level, but it is a bit hard to go down the stairs. did you blocked the front layer for that? i was not able to jump down the stairs to spair time. also i got stuck one time on the stairs - the table and the stool blocked the way to go down. maybe making them grabbalbe woudl help to remove them when that happens.
i think this is worth for a continue
(oh btw i jumped down the house at the beginning lol.)

does it have any effect when you won't say the words?
meh want to know... ok i play again to see what happens than... ohhh... OK. a bit hard x3 i guess people could give you a boo for that. thats a bit rude. what do you do when a girl is playing it and dont want to say the words? thought about that?

i would be happy for a short feedback for my level - its in the signature link under my post - it's called "skunk bunny adventures: swifown chronicles" thank you

Hey ForcesWerewolf,
Thanks a bunch for checking it out I will remove the stairs block I have going on so you can just jump down. I think it is a very good suggestion.

I am glad you tried out the option of NOT telling her. I think it is kind of shocking what happens but I thought why skirt around your answer and not have anything different really happen!

Similar things happen if you choose not to listen to her in the building.

When you say you jumped down the house at the begining, do you mean you jumped off the edge of the building? Did you find a bug or did things correct itself as I think I had set it up to do?

I have queued up your level and will check it out the next time I play

Thanks,

Very funny level. I liked the intro and the details you put in some furniture inside the building. At the final room I couldn't stop the fire and just made a quick jump to the other side, but then I couldn't rescue my girlfriend even if I tried going back because of the fire Anyway I am looking forward for a continuation of this!

F4F, Please play my level! http://lbp.me/v/y77btq

Tirux, I played your level once and didn't get very far. At first I was turned off by being on the ground of a level. I feel like allot of levels that start off on the ground are going to be bad (based on experience)... Before I got into it, I had something come up, but I did queue it up again to try again. I will try it again but I have to admit - I will most likely play the easier version as I get frustrated fast. I will leave fb after I play it again. sorry for the delay.2011-03-10 05:23:00

Oof! A tough one! So far, my love and I have not survived the inferno. Honestly, I can't imagine how ANYONE could bear not to tell her what she wants. She. Is. Adorable!

Still, the concept is great and I love the cardboard-***-deathtrap-motel look of the place. The animated spreading fire is very effective and makes me cringe, to think of all the sequencers that must be working overtime in the background.

Unfortunately, the level broke for me repeatedly, and I'm not sure it's something that will be easy to fix. The first time I tried the level, the third lamp that you swing to get over the filing cabinet snapped the rubber band it was connected to, making it impossible to reach the switch. When I replayed, I managed to snap the rubber band on the water hose one floor up! Needless to say, my love and I perished again.

I think our love will endure, though. It was a great level -- thanks for makin' it!

Fobstar49 - I appreciate the feedback. I have never experienced those things and I have played my level at least a hundred times now (no joke!). I will examine the elements you pointed out and see if I can do anything to make them any more robust. I also smiled when you said she is adorable - I think so too. I strongly suggest never "not telling her" because what takes place afterward may make you cry!!! I will queue up your level and report in my findings soon enough!2011-03-11 02:53:00

Oh God. I totally would, too.

Thanks in advance for the feedback! Hope you can find a buddy (or three) to try it out with.
