What's the best way to do multiplication?

Archive: 4 posts

Alright, so I've decided that it's time to expand a calculator I've made, and give it multiplication support. However, I am having trouble deciding what the best way to do it would be. I've tried many different techniques, but I always run into problems with the thermo. Any suggestions?2011-03-08 22:27:00

Ha ha Sorry Pal. There's hardly anything you can do with the Thermo Space. That is without possible screwing up the load time and possibly the entire level.

This (http://www.littlebigland.com/tutorial-how-to-seriously-cheat-the-thermo/) was originally found in LBP 1 but may still work for lbp 2.

Hope this has helped at least a bit. And Good Luck with your calculator.

This might be a little more along the lines of what you're looking for. I'm not sure how flexible it is (LBP2's arithmetic tools are still fairly limited), but I would pretty much trust any and all words found on this blog to be the most accurate and condensed explanations of mathematical logic on the market.

Multiplication should be quite easy if using binary, but pretty complex if not. Through using a series of counters for the two numbers needing to be multiplied, you can use AND gates to get an output number. Would something like that be of use? You could use a converter to return it into decimal.2011-03-09 23:40:00
