Just downloaded this update for LBP2. 13MBs.. anyone know what it does? Google surprisingly got nothing useful. Not finding any thread about it on LBPC, and search feature doesn't work for some reason. Feel stupid if there's a thread somewhere in my face that I don't see and apologize for unneeded thread if that is the case.

I'm going to not update, and when the DLC comes out I will get it and try to use it online without updating! XD I hope something strange happens! (Don't tell me this is not possible; I will only say that you need FireSheep and a online server and you can intercept the update)

My guess for "big DLC" has always been Tron. The DVD/ Blu-Ray is coming soon, so it would be perfect timing for everything. On topic, thanks for the fast replies, good to know.

DLC won't just showup and you will get a error about different client versions I will download the DLC from PS Store in the XMB, and I've done this before never gotten a error...

I think it's a DLC too, so it's one more reason to buy a new PSN Card Off Topic: I searched in LBPC a topic about this, found nothing, and started making one, I was going to edit that, 1s later, and there was already one topic about it, it's probably because i write VERY slow on a computer, LOL. And about the DLC, if it's possible to use without updating, well. I downloaded the demo, and when LBP2 came out I could use the week one DLC on the demo, so maybe it's possible?

I'm sorry for creating a similar thread after this one was posted, but I actually did search for "1.02" and double checked the News and Media subforum on beforehand - seems it wasn't enough On topic: The Cog Princess Headdress-, Randomiser- and "decorations on sackboys teeth"-issues are still present, so the patch might very well just be readying the game for some upcoming DLC...

I hope the patch fixes IT. A certain big glitch that you know will be patched. I'm quite surprised after all this time since its discovery its only been mentioned a few times in the LBP community, especially after all the talk/spam levels of the crown/blaster DLC before 1.01, gotta give props to the community for keeping it really quite so far on this. I'm not going to say it unless I know its fixed, unfortunatly I can't test it to find out for myself to see if it is (Saying why will be a dead giveaway)

Right after i downloaded patch 1.02 whenever i try to start up LBP2 it freezez right when it gets to the loading screen where it says "important information." Idk maybe its just my PS3. But is this happening to anyone else?

I really want the new 3D glitch to be fixed. The old one was cool like the FPS stuff, but the new glitch just ruins the whole gameplay. If i wanted to play a 3D game i would have bought DOOM from like 12 years ago

All Mm needs to do to actually make this wish real, is to fix the local space on the player cam. I HATE HOW IT SPINS AS IT ROTATES. WHY can't it be so that when you turn it looks the same, ONLY TURNED! why does the cam itself have to rotate?!?!? I hate this. and i think i'm not the only one. This issue has stoped me from making a few levels (4 in fact)

ill do anything for the next DLC NOT TO BE the move support. like its fine and dandy for ppl who do own it... but atleast release it with other dlcs for the players using trusty ol' 4 triggers!

It's done like this so you can see the additional content while playing online despite not owning it.

There is no reason for people to be spoiling Mm's announcement, after all you new it was coming this week anyways why look through the patch? I can't wait for Mm to catch on and start naming there stuff "Sephiroth and Cloud " and actually give us a cookie costume or something. Also I can't remember if I read somewhere about a pancake costume. That would be awesome XD

ALL glitches are beneficial if used correctly. I was just discussing this earlier with a buddy actually, talking about really cool stuff we could do in the beta that got patched for no apparent reason, that were really useful in our creations, and that as far as any one could tell - weren't and couldn't possibly be gamebreaking. Sure it was the beta (and we couldn't keep anything), but still. As for the regular retail version.... I can think of a bunch of glitches that pushed this game leaps and bounds ahead of what Mm had originally intended. Glitches that Mm themselves have either used (*cough layer glitch*), or glitches that have possibly made them create actual tools to replicate those glitches for us to use that they never originally intended (ie. Cow Glitch possibly leading to Mm's creation of the Material Tweaker). So yes, I'd say this is exactly where we want to be heading. This 3-D camera glitch looks to me like a result of something that I had considered to have gone horribly wrong with the cameras in the beta. I had 3 cameras set up, and when I activated certain ones I could see way down into the level. I hated it and still do, because the cameras were not set up to do that and it was a patch that had them suddenly acting this way. If I had thought at the time that this could be beneficial in some way, I would have embraced it. I didn't. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of this 3D camera trick, but that's simply because mist people aren't using it well and haven't taken the time to make it work... but it's got potential in the hands of a creator who cares more about using it well then just throwing it in a crappy level to show that they know how to do it, take credit for it, or get hearts and plays out of it. You are right about one thing though, LBP is just a platformer game. LBP2 however, is a game within which you can explore boundless possibilities and create your own games. FPS's, Top Down Racers, RPG's, Pacman, Dogfight Jet Simulators, or mind-blowing recreations of games like Flower.

Here's some official word. It's that time again! When you boot up your copy of LittleBigPlanet 2 today, you?ll notice a game update available, 1.02. Following the new tradition, it's got the name of a cake and this time it's called: Apple Cake. Purely because Charlotte in our Testology team made some very delicious Apple Cake for everyone yesterday morning. Nom! It's not a huge update, but it does contain some fixes for some issues that some players have been experiencing. Here are the release notes! * Fixed an issue where a player that imports a profile from a different user and declines the EULA can still play online. It should no longer be possible for a player that imports another users profile and declines the EULA to play online, selecting an online option should prompt them to re-read and accept/decline the EULA. * Fixed an issue whereby a client leaving an online create session would hang when they opted to use the ?Import Profile? option after being returned to their pod. * Fixed an issue where some Japanese store text descriptions contained visible HTML tags. * Fixed an issue where players that had imported beta profiles and were using DLC assets they didn?t own could still use them. In 1.01 we fixed a problem to do with importing assets from the beta trial build which allowed users access to some rare DLC items. Part of the fix was to check for stripped assets and not allow a user to select them in pop-it. The item however would still be visible in pop-it and have an exclamation mark over its icon. AHEM! Not to encourages further craziness, but might I direct your attention to this: "BLank" It would appear that the update has been dissected so to speak. Should this be true, it means all those who are lucky enough to have the Collectors Edition, (like myself *awesomface*) simply recieved demos of full future DLC packs, which from a marketing perspective is not that bad an idea. that's where i saw the info. but best to edit that out as it's not by MM, or de mods will get mad at you (>.>)
