New PS3, how to copy saved game
Archive: 5 posts
I got a new PS3 for the backroom, wanting to leave my older PS3 in the main TV room for others to use NetFlix on it. How exactly do I get my LBP2 saved game onto the new PS3? The user profile on the new one is the same as the old one... It is simply a matter of installing the game, then copying the saved game onto a flash drive, take to the new PS3 and copy it onto it? Since I had already finished it, all the LPB1 data will be in the LBP2 save game as well? | 2011-03-07 19:26:00 Author: wizaerd Posts: 159 |
Do you have anything important or would you be willing to delete anything on the new PS3? If it doesn't matter, you could always find a USB cable and make a direct transfer from one PS3 to another, It'll pass even the uncopyable data, and have everything just as you had it in the old PS3. | 2011-03-07 19:29:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Make sure that you back up your profile from the Settings menu before you do a system transfer; when you reload LBP2 you'll need to play through the first level to get to your pod, then import that backup and everything will return as normal. | 2011-03-07 19:55:00 Author: Chazprime Posts: 587 |
I do have two other games that I'd like to keep on the new PS3 already, so no, I don't wish to delete anythin goff of it. Isn't there a way I can just get my LBP1 & 2 onto the new PS3 so I don't have to replay them both completely? | 2011-03-08 14:44:00 Author: wizaerd Posts: 159 |

You can just export and copy the profiles, but you then won't be able to get pins/trophies on the new PS3, nor be able to synchronize changes made in the LBP1 profile to LBP2. | 2011-03-08 21:51:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
