How do you make a controllable cannon?

Archive: 3 posts

I want to make one for my pirate ship, basically a cannon that has a controllinator where you can control how it rotates, preferably 45 degree and make it shoot. Do you use a rotator or what? Also it needs to float because if I glue it to the ship I''m guessing it won't move? I really suck with logic please help!2011-03-07 06:52:00

Ok now i will do my best to tell u what to do.First put a stand for the cannon. Then make the cannon.make sure the cannon has the layer infront of the stand.Ok now i dont remember what the rotator is called but u can adjust the angle (mayb wobble bolt but dont think so) then put a conrtollernator(close to the stand) open up the circuit board and for the LEFT joystick UP/DOWN connected to the bolt that i forgets what its called.O i forgot change the setting of the bolt to directino change or somthing like that. Then put a emmiter at the end of the tip of the cannon then make it emit anything u want. Then put the fire button(any button u want like X,O,R1,L1) to the emiter and that should be it2011-03-09 03:30:00

Stick a Wobble-bolt on the axial of your cannon and set it to 45 degrees and 0% strength. Then use either a Rotator or Joystick Rotator and hook that up to one of the analog sticks. You may need to adjust the dampening and speed of the Rotator if the cannon doesn't aim how you want it to.

If you're having trouble gluing stuff together then use the Glue Tool (first page of your Tools Bag) to individually glue things together so stuff that needs to move doesn't get stuck.
