Help with Pressing X on my main menu to take you to checkpoint in level?

So Im making a level with two parts: A main menu and the game. The main menu has two options: Start, or Exit. Any ideas on how to make the level start when I press X when the start option is highlighted? I really need this feature. Make it kill the sackpeople and also activate a timer connected to the checkpoint you want to use. So when the sackboys die, That checkpoint is the only one active, so they will have to spawn from there. have three controllinators. 1) Enter this one when you start the level. Set as a transmitter. 2) Set as a receiver for your menu. 3) Set as the game controller. When you start the game you enter the controllinator. You have controllinator 2 and 3 on microchips. When the level is loaded, chip 2 is active and chip 3 is not. I would use toggles for this. When you hit the start selection it rotates both of the toggles, so that chip 2 is now inactive, and chip 3 is active. This will switch what the controls do. For funsies you can attach cameras to both 2 and 3, and just cut away to your main game when it is chosen, and back to the menu when it is over. If you reset the score on the level when they hit start, this will allow people to immediately retry until they are ready to submit the score. | 2011-03-07 04:06:00 Author: tdarb Posts: 689 |
