Patrol bot logic help.

I am trying to get a sackbot to patrol to the left pause then patrol to the right and pause. I need the distance of the patrol to be variable, and when you are seen I need the sackbot to chase you and throw ninja stars at you to kill you. Well i think you have an option on the sackbot that says patrol so he can patrol around. Also I think you can put a player sensor or a follower so when the sackboy get on the range it can start attacking. | 2011-03-06 23:53:00 Author: Arnald23 Posts: 1843 |
Arnald23 is right. You can put your primary behavior as patrol, which will make the sackbot walk back and forth as far as it can in the environment (also depends on your settings for danger, jumping, and switching layers). Use the player sensor to toggle to the hostile or acting behavior to start throwing the stars. (You can nest microchips and other logic on the sackbot's board, so you could just drop the ninja-stars emitter on the same board and have it triggered by the same player sensor). Yeah I can make the sackbot patrol back and forth and around, I want him to patrol to specific points in a specific order and pause at each point, for this test I just need it to patrol left to point 1, pause 2sec, patrol right to point 2, pause 2sec, repeat. In the future I will add points and in and out movement. My second goal is to make the player sensor only face out from the sackbots front side (field of view), so you can sneak up behind or above and knock it out. How I am trying to do it is to make it follow tags in an order, then pause on each tag, also the sensor thing.
