Mag Switches work funny
Archive: 8 posts
I made a cursor with a box-select thing and it seems like when I try to multi-select, The switches don't see tags. They're the right tags because they work otherwise. I can take pictures and describe it, but I guess its a little of a rhetorical question and asking if tag sensors ever don't work. To be clearer: the tag lights and the sensor doesn't sense. The only reason I could think of is if you named them. They only work if they have the same name. And sorry for the rather long answer delay. ![]() | 2011-03-24 01:16:00 Author: Phazerz123 ![]() Posts: 440 |
describe in a little more detail or pic....If I understand correctly, each tag will work separately but you want them to work in unison? you have to wire for this. otherwise I believe that the sensors will only take the highest valued tag. try wiring them together. what application are you using this for? | 2011-03-24 08:31:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Also make sure the tag sensors are set to recognize all layers. A couple screen shots of the current setup would be a great help. | 2011-03-24 16:14:00 Author: Chicago51 ![]() Posts: 258 |
You also want to be careful of the range of the sensor. Depending on your camera angle, it can be a bit misleading especially at larger distances. Front view helps, but when you get like over 200 you really have to zoom back first to check. One tip I found handy is hitting the tag itself will show the ranges of all the matched tag sensors when the distance is really huge. I found I was a bit shorter on one than I realized which was why mine never reacted. ![]() ..and like others said, if we aren't seeing your issue please give us a pic or some more info to help you out. ![]() | 2011-03-24 16:22:00 Author: jwwphotos ![]() Posts: 11383 |
Hm. Thanks fo the replies, It's hard to write up a good topic when nothing is working well, I don't understand what I wrote either. The tag was actually on the same chip as the sensor, which doesn't affect. I thought I tried that.. whatever, its all good now. I'm glad an old thread can still get noticed with all of this activity. | 2011-03-25 00:20:00 Author: ThisDudeRufus ![]() Posts: 170 |
