Tag Sensors With "No Tag" Should Sense Tags of the Same Colour WITH Tags!

Archive: 5 posts

I was making a bit of logic today, when I thought I'd found a VERY EASY workaround for a commonly wanted chip. You know, to make a beginner-friendly kit.

I started building, and then I realized it didn't work because tag sensors with no tag on them only sense tags that have no tags as well.

Kind of disappointing to me. Why would we need that if it just does the same thing a tag would do?

I ended up finding a workaround that works, but it took so much trial and error for what I needed it for, and some more wires. A lot more wires.

I thought I read or heard somewhere that tags DID work this way, but apparently not.

If you don't get what I mean, look at it like this...

I have three different tags that are pink, with different tags.

I have one sensor set to be pink, but with no tag. I want it to be able to sense those three tags still.

Please don't try to tell me a workaround, because you don't know the exact purpose I need it for, and I already have one-a complicated one-but I just think this would be way nicer.

I hadthat idea in pass, it's it's already too late to fix that, but they could and "any color" and "any label" options2011-03-06 05:05:00

sorry but NO
No label means that the tag must NOT hae a label think logically.

If they add a "any label" option, thats a whole new story!

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

This idea is not logical. I've run into the problems you appear to be having before, but the solution is simply to use a second, more general tag. (ie. zombies would have a generic "zombie" tag as well as more specific labels like "zombie_red", "zombie_blue" etc. for more specific functions) What you're proposing would wreak absolute havoc
