The Uncool Under 50 Club This is an experimental thread geared to help the most underappreciated levels get more attention. Did your level miss its chance to get on the game's "Cool" pages? Has it been played fewer than 50 times? Then post a link to it here and join the "Uncool" Under 50 Club! But there is an important membership condition: By posting a link to your level, you pledge to do your best to play every level that is posted on the same page as your own. (Have your forum settings for number of posts to show per page at the default, which is 15) I think this is a modest expectation. It probably took you much longer to make that level you are posting than it will take you to play through a dozen levels that your fellow creators have made for you. We may not be getting plays from the community at large, but we'll be getting plays from each other. Posting levels: - The level you post must meet these requirements: It must have been published at least 3 days ago. (from what I understand, that's the cutoff time for a level to make it to the Cool pages) It has under 50 plays to its name. If the play count later reaches 50, participants in the club are no longer obligated to play it. - If you have more than one level that qualifies, choose only one of them to post a link to per page in the thread. - When posting, you need only write the name of the level with a link to it on lbp.me (http://lbp.me/) so that it can be queued easily. You do not need to write anything else. Simply by posting the link, your fellow participants in the club are obligated to play it. This eliminates the need for advertising. Who likes advertising anyway? - If anyone starts posting empty levels, or copied levels, or complete trash that was whipped up on someone's lunch break, they will be removed. I don't think we'll have this problem since the standard of quality among members of this forum is abnormally high. Playing levels: - You do not need to play any level here more than once. - You do not need to leave feedback, a review, a comment, a rating, a heart, or anything else (although you are welcome to do those things if you wish). Just play and have fun. - You do not need to keep playing if a level links to another level. If it was fun, you'll be motivated enough to do that. - Give an honest attempt to try to complete each level even though it may not be your favorite level in the world...within reason. If you get stuck, run into a serious bug, or it is torture for you to continue, then go ahead and quit. - The maximum number of levels you are obligated to play is 14, and probably less. If the play count of a level is 50 or higher at the time you post your link, you are not obligated to play that level. - Don't forget to check back and play levels that have been posted after yours if they are on the same page. Lastly, if you are the type who is constantly republishing your level without improving the content, I would rather you did not participate in this thread. You won't need it anyway. I hope this helps some of us get our levels appreciated a tiny bit more while discovering some fun levels our peers have been making!

One thing :> lot of missed levels are in cool pages but simply not high enough, you need to add some page limit insted of removeing all cool pages level since it might create some confusion

Shadowriver > Good point. I guess I have to remove that requirement then, since I don't think there is a consistent way to check for that. The page display for Cool levels is probably not the same in lbp.me as it is in the game.

And why is that? Because its a thread in the "everything else" where people post their levels asking for plays, and the mods dont like people posting levels all over the place. Just my thoughts, I still love this idea and hope Im wrong, plays are way too difficult from what Ive seen.

I looked all over the forum for the appropriate place to write this thread but there didn't seem to be any (except maybe the Level Showcase?). Well looking at the Cool Levels now, you have to dig kinda deep before you find anything with less than 50 plays, so for now I'll just drop that requirement unless someone has a simple solution. And since this page is being devoted to getting the kinks out of the idea, the 1st and 2nd pages will be considered combined as far as play obligations for participants.

could we also have advertised our level in the new level showcase thread? also about the republishing, I published in Feb. but have been tweaking here and there as I find new annoyances and mistakes and republished on the 3rd of march, still qualify or going with the original publish date?
