Grappletastic

Archive: 6 posts

I'm just starting out on this creation lark, so please be firm but gentle. I'm promoting my second level
"Grappletastic http://lbp.me/v/yeqrjd " but please feel free to try my first "Glasshouse http://lbp.me/v/x67wv6 ".

Grappling hooks are the main order of the day here

My levels are platforming in a more old skool way, I'm looking to improve things like atmosphere etc in my next level. I would greatly appreciate any feedback and I enjoy playing other peoples levels to leave constructive feedback too.

I hope you enjoy

Ah come on guys, I'm not normally one for bumping my own threads but someone, anyone? Give me a go.

Queued. Just by first glance at the lbp.me page I see a blank patch which is lame. But I'll judge further after I play it. Also make your lbp.me link clickable, copy & pasting takes time and hurts your chances of people queuing more.2011-03-07 01:04:00

Could do with a desciption and badge aswell. I know these bits can be boring, but they do help to attract players. Particularly custom badges.
Oh, and uploaded photos. (Take picture while in the level, then open the popit, press square over the photo, and then pick 'Upload&apos

I couldn't get any further than the section with the 4 rotating sponges and the insanely high jump. There's just no way anyone could get the momentum required for it off the slowly spinning sponges.

The links are clickable for me (using chrome didn't realise they'd be problems with other browsers). Is there a thread explaining how to put the description into the thread?

Sorry for the dumb questions but hey I'm new to this

@ Ostler, would it make it a little easier if I increased the speed or would moving it closer be a better solution? (...for the rotating sponge)

Thanks for the feedback guys I'll try and get these bits sorted tomorrow.

Edit:- Links should definitely be clickable now

I would either move the ledge down or move the sponge up. Either or, really. Increasing the speed may make the momentum easier, but it would also leave players with a smaller margin of time for releasing the hook.2011-03-07 01:34:00
