A Clone of my Own - BETA

Archive: 10 posts

Hi Sackthings!

I have finally got my level, A Clone of my Own, into the Beta stages. The premise is that you have too much work to do in your office, so you apply to be in a cloning test to gain a copy of yourself. The test consists of various puzzles to see if you can work with your clone. Hope it makes sense - the intro should clear things up. I'm just hoping some of you awesome sackfans cans test a level out for me, moreso the puzzles.

Points to note:

- Single player only. I dread to think of the madness that will ensue if 2+ sackthings pop in.

- The level is very much undecorated - please don't comment too harshly on that. More materials and points of interest to come.

- It is possible to leave your clone behind in some rooms due to the following ability he has. Please avoid this in the beta.

- Most importantly, you or your clone dying will break the level. Please don't be put off by this as there is no real peril, but I'm sure some of you could accidently get squashed. Let me know where if this happens.

Have fun! Feedback welcome here, reviewing the level or message me on psn: faulky. F4F welcome.

Yeah they can be a pain sometimes. Was hard to change between about 20 different behaviours and also 2 sizes.

Cheers for queueing. Need any feedback in return?

I thought It was pretty inventive use of the sackbot. I think you should probably take out the first part of the level with the work over load and stuff and add more to the end. the level really had nothing to do with being over worked...you could start it differently maybe saying that it's the year 2050 and cloning is in its controversial testing period. end it like you did...but make him MAD, insane, and go more into depth with it. I think this would make your story a little better. though if you had a different direction, with the to be continued I'd love to see where it goes from there. I just think that it's pointless to introduce being over worked and paper work and whatnot if it's not coming into play at all in the story or gameplay.

Thanks F4F Lights out

Good level! Certainly took a bit of thinking to work through it, however I couldn't finish due to my clone sackbot dying and not respawning It was the part where he's shrunk down and you get the grapple, he ended up on the bounce pad platform and he got 'squashed' somehow, not entirely sure! Anyway I couldn't proceed any further and he didn't seem to respawn no matter where i went

Apart from that it's a good level, challenging on the brain and some excellent camera usage! Well worth a play!
