| If you remember correctly, LBP1 came out in late October and the MGS pack came out in December. This DLC isn't really that soon compared to other games who take content out of the game to sell it as DLC a week later. It feels right. Oh, and I'm totally calling a Toy Story pack. Aww. I don't even have Move. | If it is Move support then I wonder if there would be a level pack for it like POTC or MSG, since we already have Prehistoric Moves that uses Move. Might just give us ways to put Move into LBP2. Although if Prehistoric Moves had any decent goodies in it (I've not played it since I don't own Move) it would be nice to see some in LBP2 in a Move DLC pack. | What's wrong with the disney level packs? The Marvel one was useless for anything but Marvel levels, but the Incredibles kit provided some awesome materials to use.(Although, again, no good stickers/decorations for anything besides Incredibles levels, which a lot of people will not make.)In fact, the stones provided are some of my favorites (if not all of them), and the other materials are great, too. To be perfectly honest, I like the Move pack (even if it hasn't officially been announced), but I hope they have something even bigger planned than that. | When I'm thinking of new DLC, I keep getting that one level Mm made with the Move out of the History pack (the one w/ Abe Lincoln's hat and snake charmers and such). I'll be estatic if they come out with more instruments. I know there's aleady a wide selection... of syncs and FXs. Either that or some sort of background editor that I don't have to glitch the game to use (and one that isn't frustrating to use). That'd make my day (and, seeing that they've used the backgrould glitch in the Marvel pack and the recent Prius levels, this could be highly likely). But... since it is March... Wouldn't be cool if MM would say: "Hi sackpeople, we've hired x, y and z, that you surely know for their outstanding work they had released!" I don't like this "sort of confidential stuff" Anyway my concern about the old DLCs and something on LBP2 is that somewhere the MM style went down the drain. The timing was perfect since it's a couple months after release and Mm even said they were working on Move compatibility for March. If the case was Heroes On The Move relates to the DLC, perhaps it could be some sort of Move DLC, with Sly Cooper costumes plus the CE Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter costumes. Given that the Move can effectively act as a pointer device, they may also take the opportunity to introduce mouse support, assuming they still intend to. Sony may have done a U-turn on that idea, though, if they think it'll cut into sales revenues for the Move, much like they (speculatively) nixed the picture import support to avoid cutting in to revenues for PS Eye and/or sticker packs. I think the only difference was that NZ got the plushie. We (or at least I) didn't get bookends or ratchet/jak dlc. To all of you coming down on this and any other member for not realizing this content is apparently "time exclusive"... you are dead wrong. Not only is it really uncool to try and make someone feel like a dunce about it, it's completely unfair and has nothing to do with any amount of common sense or anything else. I'm a firm believer that common sense isn't very common at all, but this case is a bit different considering what the packaging and SONY's official statements actually say. Nowhere on the box does it say this content is "time exclusive". Nowhere on the box does it say this will be made available to everyone eventually, or use the phrase "Early-Bird Special". You are all assuming that anyone who bought the CE might be aware of separate or special announcements made by Mm or SONY elsewhere (such as twitters, commercials, official statements, etc.)... which is pretty unfair of you to do. It's as ignorant an assumption/statement as ones like "Everyone knows you should be backing up your profile before _____". In fact, at the end of all this I'm gong to point out how wrong you are and that SONY themselves have in fact stated quite boldly that this content is in fact just as exclusive as the Bookends, Metal Case, and 5 PSN Avatars... by not giving any indication that this content is different than any of the other content that was offered to us. This is the back of the NA CE, clearly showing that it doesn't say "time exclusive" anywhere (nor does it say that anywhere else on the packaging). It should be noted that it does say "11 Downloadable Sackboy Costumes", but that nowhere included are the words "exclusive". As you will see in a moment, that statement is made in a way to give special attention to what is actually exclusive about the NA CE. I'd like to point out that it DOES say the Bookends are exclusive, which as we all know... are not available anywhere else but with the CE.... because they are what? I'm pretty sure those Avatars aren't time exclusive either, and I'm sure no one here would care if they were never released for regular purchase on the store the way the J&D costumes will be. I wonder why that is? So, it's probably fair to say that most people could care less about the Avatar's being exclusive but not about the costumes, and most would agree that the Avatars were intended to be exclusive's and were never meant to be available anywhere but with the CE. Considering that the only costumes included with all CE's are the Jak & Daxter costumes, it's pretty safe to say that many people were under the impression that that's part of why they paid the extra money. In fact, it's pretty much inferred. If someone would care to point out where on the box it says anything about the "exclusive content" being time sensetive, I'll gladly eat my next paycheque. If that isn't false advertising... I don't know what the hell is? Some of you may attemept to argue that the word "exclusive" is being taken out of context by some of us and that it was not meant to suggest that this content is exclusive only through the purchase of the CE, or that it was actually supposed to be exclusive for a limited time. Before you even bother, I'd like to direct your attention to THIS (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/07/23/littlebigplanet-2-updates-official-date-and-retail-goodness/) page on the official SONY PLAYSTATION BLOG. That is the information I read when deciding to order my NA Ce of the game. In the text on that page (which is an official release from SONY themselves) it also uses the word "exclusive" to refer to the Bookends which are also "exclusive" content being offered in the CE and is also mentioned on the box. If we know that the bookends were an exclusive item we payed extra for that was never intended to be able to be purchased anywhere else, then why should the J&D Costumes, 5 PSN Avatars, or EU CE Metal Packaging be any different? It shouldn't. I really don't care who's wrong or who's right here and the fact that the information given "can" be taken several different ways (although I think my arguement is a pretty solid one). I do care about people being slightly rude to other members for reading and accepting SONY's words at FACE VALUE though. The fact is that it's all worded very poorly, and in such a way as to imply (at the least) that the J&D Costumes as well as the 5 PSN Avatars, and Bookends are in fact only available with the purchase of the CE. If you are to take the packaging at face value (nevermind SONY's official statements on their Blog), the Jak & Daxter costumes should in fact, be exlusive to those that paid for the CE... because that is exactly what it says. Personally, I don't care... but that is how it's worded. Wouldn't you be ticked off if you won "Exclusive Backstage Passes" to see your favourite band, and then found out everyone get's to meet them and you actually had to wait in line just like everyone else? This really isn't much different in my opinion... except that those who paid extra got to move to the front of the line... when they might well have been just as happy to save their cash and wait to meet the band just like everyone else and not feel like they just got gouged by lies and false advertising. I too have the box and the voucher that came with the CE and I see no such thing as time exclusive content worded on each one. I think people only say this cause they assume the costumes will be released just like the Kratos and other costumes were. In the second picture where it says "And exclusive to LBP2 Collector's Edition", the Jak & Daxter costumes were suppose to be only for the CE buyers. This is ticking a lot of people off, knowing that those particular costumes were being released sometime later. Somewhere along the line, Heroes on the Move was going to be released. Someone got an idea about letting all the characters of that game be released on LBP2 to everyone for advertisement reasons I guess. I do think it's a shame that it's so poorly worded and misleading, but I was never personally annoyed that I wasn't getting something no one else would. I only paid the extra coin for the privelage of having access to the costumes without having to wait months and months to help with my own creative process and character designs. I knew it was a money grab at the time and didn't mind because to me it was a bonus to the bookends, and figured it would be cheaper than shelling out the 3 bucks/per that it would likely cost once they were released to the general community later on. I knew when I bought it that there was a teeny weeny tiny winy chance that the J&D costumes might actually remain exclusive, but not likely. Much like the Launch costume, everything is eventually opened up for everyone to have access to, which in my books is only fair. We must remember that not all gamers are as knowledgeable as to how the Corporate Gaming BigWigs go about enticing us into buying their product as you and I are. Many gamers are younger or newer to gaming, and simply aren't aware that if they just wait a few months that the falsely advertised content will become available to them just like everyone else. Also, this form of enticement is aimed at those who have "addictive collectors" personalities (which whether you think they are crazy or not... isn't necessarily thier fault). Therefore, it's really unfair for us to basically reply to those who weren't aware of these strategies and misleading statements in advertising, that they are somehow being foolish or acting selfish for taking something at face value. The fact remains that the gaming industry uses the word "exclusive" in a way that is contrary to the definition of the word. If this were to an issue of legal matters, say, a smaller court case battle where a customer was told they were getting something exclusive if they paid more and then that was not the case, I'd say the court would rule in favour of the customer who's just been knowing lied to. | Say, not sure if the debate's over, (too much to read. ) but, "exclusive to" can mean a lot of things, it could've simply meant its exclusive to the CE from both versions, meaning ONLY the CE will have it included, but not that it will never be released later on, right? Also, come on, did you guys REALLY not expect this to happen even after knowing full well LBP1's Pre-Order stuff was released a while later as well? Btw, what's so wrong about giving others the chance to buy a costume anyways? So you didn't pay extra for the stuff, but for simply not wanting others to ever have it? That would be kinda selfish, don't you think? Specially with all the costumes that were included with CE. I mena, you got the items you paid for, and access to the before anyone else, didn't you? | /jumps back into TALK circle. I agree with Silver, you kind of have to expect Mm to do this, as they did it with every other costume that was only for pre-order. Thus, these costumes aren't obligated to stay 'exclusive' for just for the CE. Mm can do what they want with these, after all they made them!
