Skunk Bunny Adventures: Swifown Chronicles (long, single player, english+german)

Archive: 79 posts

Hi!
I was not online a few days now but now i'm back and ready to catch up with my other thread and with this new one.
(give me a little bit time! - huhhh~ )
http://lbp.me/v/ycrh0s

It is version 1.0 so i hope people could report bugs if they find them.
Also sorry about the multiplayer issue. It only works singleplayer atm, but i plan to update it as soon as i'm able to figure out how to do the same tricks with more players ingame. I'm happy for any help! But back to topic:

It's a story about the Planet of the Skunk Bunny species.
They send a distress call to Da Vinci and the rest of the crew.
You'll meet with a giant fox and maybe defeat it. Hope to know what you think about the level! Thank you!

EDIT: I POSTED THE SCRIPT!
If you like to help me with my poor english plz go there:

And played it. Generally I liked it, but it has some weird design choices.

First off: nice visuals! Loved the look of the bunnies and the dog. The waterspitting, well, it looks like urine in the scenes where it doesn't show the mouth. Why not give it some icecristals or something? Along with the inestines it almost gets sexual A missed oppurtunity might be some ice/water based platforming or puzzles in the belly.

Why do I have to push x and go to the bottom selection of the menu? Why not let me press x to start the level always?

The gameplay while fun, was kinda off sometimes.

-In the first level when I got out of the pipe I saw the jumppad spawn and used it, going to the place I should go second. I was stuck for a while and had to use the jumppad normally used for the buttons to get back. It felt like obscure way to get back. Why not place a easier jumppad so this problem is resolved?

-2nd level, the jumppad out of the house of bunnies sometimes made me jump back into the house. Quite annoying when all I wanted to do is get out. Maybe give the player a bit more room to get out and miss the jumppad? It also wasn't very clear where I should go. Maybe a camera hinting I should go the right? Od did I miss a visual clue?

Right before meeting the elder, my little bunny friend talked german one sentence while I choose English. (the English ain;t that great but aw well it adds to the charm). After meeting the elder my bunny friend jumped straight down twice and stayed there until I walked all the way to the right in a black room where nothing happened. I was unsure if I should go there already.

-The maze bit was fun, except for the fire. Sometimes the next block doesn't slide to the background untill I'm very close to it. This gives the fire time to kill me. To stop annoying the player remove the fire alltogether. It's annoying to redo the first bit after a undeserved death.

-the TETRIS BIT was fun. Almost expected 'the Guy' to pop up Very playersfriendly to show where the blocks and fire is going to fall. Is it possible to make it reset completely after a death? It was so much fun to do or try to ace.

-the intestines bit was the weakest part of the game imo.
The camere is zoomed in to much, so I could not see where I was pointing my grapplehook. In some ares it would attach to almost everything except the bit I was aiming at. A lot of deaths were caused by unseen acid dripping on my head.
Also grappling a green tumor should not convert it back to red. When I aimed for anouther tumor sometimes I would hit another one turning it on again.
If you have to backtrack to the beginning some green turned tumor will kill you because you have to turn it red to get up. Also all the checkpoints are unlimited lives except for the second one. Why?
The throwing the yellow sponge to kill the three tumors in the stomach took some aiming while the tumors are not on screen. Again annoying and it takes to long for a new one to spawn again. Maybe let it spawn one immeadilety after picking one up? Or two sponges at a time?

Backtracking is a nice idea, albeit the current problems with this level makes it more of an annoying chore instead of fun. Maybe add a healthbar which shows how much tumors are left? You have one on the end but it would help the player if its always on screen.

Hope you don't think I'm to harsh. Gameplay means a lot to me. I love the looks of the level and like the intention of most of your ideas. I can see you have put a lot of effort in this one! Congrats! Hope you iron out the little annoyances to create a great level!

Just finished up your game... overall I enjoyed it. The first 2 levels were pretty basic, which is fine as they are just used to set up the story line. The atmosphere is a winner. Not only does it look pretty nice, but the environment and characters make you feel like you're playing an actual game, not just a game in LBP. Kudos to that!

The bunny that runs with you has a lot of character, I liked it a lot. The Tetris, Wall Maze, and the inside of the big creature were definitely the highlights. Not to mention... WOW that boss creature looks AWESOME!

Inside the creature is really really impressive. This is where the biggest chunk of real gameplay is for me. The tumors really should switch to green and not switch back, that got pretty annoying.

Still, even with some of the flaws (the grapple hook gets a bit wonky, the tumors can be turned back to red, some cheap kills by the tumors) I was so blown away by the 4th stage that I would recommend this to other players to try out.

Btw, I wouldn't worry about your english too much. Sure there were some misspellings and odd sentences, but nothing so vague or poorly done to where I was like, "Huh?" So great job, and I hope you iron it out a bit and get some massive hits on your game!

If you want to try mine and give me some feedback, the thread for it is: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=51825-The-Alien-Epic

Just thought of an easier fix for your menu. This will also fix the problem of accidently hitting x. Just make every option work with x, and made the lowest option just say start game.

I think you are right about the tetris bit though. A shame, since its not very long and you miss out on some blocks when you die.

I fixed the cars on my level btw, would you mind to try again?

Wow! The level looks great, I just queued it! By the way, you are very underrated. I think I am too. Please, I insist, would you guys would be kind enough to play my level. It's name is "Prius_The Sack of All Trades". Link's below:-

By the way, I am on like a roll to make unrecognized creators like you and myself emerge from the rest of the pack. I mean I have entered the Prius contest and levels that are far inferior to mine are getting more views then mine. It's very disheartening. I will play your level. Please people play mine. By the way, in return if anyone wants me to play their level, please feel free to ask. I will definitely play anyones level who is ready to play mine.

This wasn't perfect, but it was sure entertaining.

You have some fun characters and the fox is gorgeous. I know the thermo is an evil, horrible master, but a few more decorations (especially in level two, with all the three-layer-thick bland sections) would do wonders for your pretty factor. The houses are full of detail, but two steps outside it's pure stone, three layers thick, with no decorations. Bleh.

Anyway - yay'd and hearted. Well done.

I loved this. A very good story based mission. I love how you fit it in with the story mode of little big planet 2. I was a little apprehensive when the description said it was 5 levels long. That is a lot to jump into without knowing that it is going to be good. I got confused and stuck at only one part. I had to replay to see what I did wrong.

I was able to get this room and the buttons were not available to be hit. You should prevent entry to here if the cut-scene hasn't been triggered. You may also want to have an English speaker go over the dialog and correct it. The English was understandable but a little off putting.

To do that, you only need to set all 3 buttons to green. Simply by touching them.
I'll remove the security shield around them.
Well, well... everything set! Good luck.

our hero! Good job. I knew you would help us!
We'll have to rebuild my house but thats not a problem considering what you've done for us.
If you ever get in danger count on us helping you as well!

We'll never forget you! Squeek!

Hey Sackboy! Over here! This way!
EEK!

You should go after Skuii! Squeek!

5-2:

This is for you!
THANK YOU!
You are allways welcome on our little big planet!
Da Vinci said he needs you back in the alliance as soon as possible...
I know saying "goodbye" hurts, but it's also a "see you again"!
So... Goodbye and see you again my friend! Thank you for everything!

5-3:

I'm proud of you Sack, but now we head to new adventures!
It's time to show the Negativitron how the alliance deals with vulgarity!

END.

NOTE: grey text is the same as old - even if someone said it is wrong.
i got some reasons for the grey text...
examples:
"for us deadly" because it's only for skunk bunnies deadly not for sackboy. (when he's outside of the fox)
"tools" because it's not only the grappling hook. you use the gloves too.

GREEN TEXT is the published corrected text.

Not a native english speaker but I'll do my best. Yes I am still working on that review, I'm just having a writers block. So here's my trying to show that I care 0k.

It's not perfect. So someone who's native should look it over.

LEVEL 1/5:

Skunk Bunny Adventures: Swifown chronicles (SINGLE PLAYER only!)

ENGLISH and GERMAN: A distress call reaches the crew of Huge Spaceship. The Skunk Bunny Planet needs help!
A giant fox called Swifown is attacking them! Rescue their world from a evil creature!
Play through 4 sub-levels and show what you can do! [4-sub levels / Vore content (Inside of a body) /
LBP-story / SINGLE PLAYER ONLY! (Multiplayer option hopefully added soon) ]
VERSION: X - Please report bugs! I'll do updates Thank you! HAVE FUN! And tnx for all feedback!

Notes:
If you want to get a high score you should pick "play normal" and don't skip any levels.

Credits: First I want to thank Media Molecule for the new powerful tools in Little Big Planet 2.
Also a big hug for everybudy who's playing my level! ~ ForcesWerwolf

Multi player:
In my own opinion I think you should play this as a "single player" level.
Of course I'll try to create and edit my level to make it enjoyable for multiple players too.
However it was designed as a single player level first.
If you notice any bugs feel free to report them. Especially multi player bugs. Thank you.

1:

OH! Welcome back Sack Thing!
Let's do a break from "story mode"! I got some interesting planets in my mind where we could go to relax a bit!
What's wrong Higgienbotham?

We just received a distress call.
It's from the planet of the skunk bunnies. They need help...

OH... we MUST help!
Sackboy! We're going to help them! Right?

If you like to help them you must go downstairs to the teleporter room. Clive will help you to arrive safely.
Higgenbotham open the pipe!

Already done. Easy as pie.

O.K. Sack Thing, good luck!

2:

Hello, Sackboy. Yes, Da Vinci told me about you.
If you would like to use the teleporter you just need to go to the other room on the other side and set it online.
I'll do the rest!
To do that, you only need to set all 3 buttons to green. Simply by touching them.
I'll remove the security shield around them.
Well, well... everything set! Good luck.

3:

Thank you for coming!
Welcome to the world of the fire skunk bunnies!
Wohooo... Fire Magic!
Enough showing off for now... Sackboy please follow us!
We'll be waiting for you upstairs in our house!

4:

Again thank you for coming.
The reason for our cry for help is the following:

On a beautiful day...
... he suddenly appeared ...
...and he's destroying our temples!
Even sometimes...
...on his silent paws... he sneaks in front of us...
...and...
...spits deadly water!

His name is Swifown the Giant Ice Fox...
We need someone to get rid of him!
He was attacking us when we sent the signal to your ship.
He's not here anymore, but if you go further in our city you'll see the latest destruction...

Please do something against him Sackboy!!!

LEVEL 2/5

1:

Leave me here! I'm badly hurt! Haha
Is he gone?
Hmph...
Why are you looking at me this way?
Yes you're right I'm not hurt. I'm hiding!
Shh! Go away! Please!
z Z Z ... z Z Z ...

Since our house got half destroyed my dad is doin' wierd jokes and is hiding under rocks...

2:

HI!
Hi, you there!
My name is Skuii. The elder sent me to show you around!
At least what I'm able to show ya... Ah, do you like fire?
Because... fire is our world. We are nothing without fire and our bounce pads!
I know we got not much modern technology here, but we...
...LOVE...
...these bounce pads. Even our temples are full of 'em.
Well...
Enough words, lets go!
Squeek! Follow me!

No no~ No need to go back!
I said we don't need to go back.
You won't listen, eh?
Fine, I'll wait.

3:

This is what Swifown looks like...

Squeek! Squeek! Squeek!

Hello young hero. I am the tribal elder of the skunk bunnys.
Please speak with Skuii, he knows everything you need to know. Thank you...
As if I would know everything... meh!
Just do your job Skuii.
Fine.

4:

Wait!
And THIS, is our beloved fire temple!
The elder said I should at least show you a sample of the insides. So I'll do.
Follow me!

This is the entrance of the skunk bunnies fire temple.
It took us several years of hard work to build and design the huge insides and security to prevent
from robbers and dangers.
Lets go deeper inside!

What was that?
I know this sound... this is BAD... no...

LEVEL 3/5:

1:

I'm sorry for dragging you with me. We're stuck in here...
We must find the secret backdoor of the fire temple! I know there is one! I'm sure!
OH! And forget the old music! Let's take a newer one!
Yes, thats better! See you later!

2:

Oh! What is a skunk bunny fire temple without "hot glass"?
Nothing! RIGHT!?
**My personal hate part of the temple! -> I always have trouble with this part!
The key is to decide when to jump and when not to...
Good luck!

3:

Your next step is the wall maze...
Which brings us to some new music!
See you!

4:

Hi again! Well done so far!
The next room will be fun!
But first a stylish jump over there!
Squeeee~
And now you!
OH! It's time to go!

5:

Oh, I'm so happy! You made it thus far!
This is the backdoor of our temple!
Only one thing left...
WE MUST FIGHT!
When we get out of here, we must fight him. I cannot let him hurt to my friends any more!!!
Let's GO!

LEVEL 4/5:

1:

We must find him!

2:

Sackboy!
I came to help you with a power up! we hope it will be of use.
As well we managed to capture the fox in this arena while you were missing! The rest is up to you!
We sadly got no information how to beat him, he's wild. But I'm sure you'll find your way to victory!
Whatever you do, keep in mind he's smart. He ate 5 poor bunnies while we tried to catch him!
Good luck Sack, I need to go back to the ship now. Beam me up Clive!

Good luck my friend! I can not come with you, for us skunk bunnys his water is deadly!

I wanted to get some feedback in here before too long so I'll write up my notes from my last playthrough rather than putting this out another day.

This is a great level that does have some rough parts but over all I think it is a very satisfying experience. This seemed like a well told and complete story with the Swifown and Skunk Bunnies/Player presented very skillfully as antagonist and protagonist.

The Skunk Bunnies have a personality and character and gave me a real reason to want to save them. The Swifown is a bit more distant and underused but as a boss and a bad guy it fills the role well.

It has been said before but when I started playing I first went up the tube and over to the teleporter room rather than talk to Clive. It may be good to open up this chute only after talking to him to keep the player from getting confused or backtracking. (The text does say to go talk to Clive first but still I was curious what was up there and off I went.)

I like the challenge progression of the level in general, it has a smooth increase until the temple section where it does start to get more difficult and slightly so from then on out.

Overall the level is not too difficult or though I can see the temple section causing trouble for some players as the gameplay elements change quite a bit from section to section and differ from the standard platforming that has preceded it.

I really enjoyed the different layers of interactivity that you've put into the levels with the many small hidden point givers and score bubble caches, the conversations and branching replies from some of the Skunk Bunnies and the use of different layers for alternate platforming routes.

The set design is excellent and the distinct architecture helps to define the Skunk Bunny group and what their life and interests are. There is a lot of creativity and novelty in the different sections and you have a good bit of humour thrown in to keep things light hearted and enjoyable.

Inside the Swifown I learned pretty quickly what was needed and activated all of the nodes until I got to the end and found out that I had missed one. I had to backtrack to the very beginning to get the very first one that I missed. It may help player frustration if you make it clear early on what the objective is before the player gets too far in.

The English translation was very good throughout but not perfect and the words or syntax that was off is noticeable enough that you'll get comments on it. But I see in posts above that others are already working with you on this to correct any issues that existed.

This level works very well for me, from the menu selection, sound effects, use of the story characters as well as the creation of the Skunk Bunnies. The story has a well defined beginning middle and end and the progression is entertaining to play through.

The level from start to finish is a long one and I'm not sure how a person would be able to stop after a middle stage and then be able to start from there at a later point. This could be an area to think about if it is not already something you've taken care of.

Cheers

@trindal

to your last point: no no people can choose the level in the first menu of the first level! so that is no problem! hah

to the red glowing stuff: how do you want me to let the player know it? simply puttin a speachbubble would not help i guess - i mean... would look stupid...
only thing i could image is that you first need to activate one to enter. so you see they do something... or what would you do?

i also added a arrow when you jump (the clive thing) to the place where the price bubble is and when you was not speaking to clive a arrow is appearing showing you how to get up again.

thank you for the review - i will think about some stuff

EDIT: I WILL NOW EDIT IT
i got a good idea! i will connect the first 4 red spots to the second gate - so you see quickly that they do something and you need th em to get further in level progress! thats it

Very good levels, must have taken a **** long time to get it all sorted and flowing smoothly like that. Played it all the way through enjoyably, only a few areas annoyed me.

1: Turning on the teleporter. Wasn't quite sure if i was doing the right thing, bouncing on the pad to bounce into the red buttons onthe wall, turning them green, then the second pad pops out and you try again. It felt a bit awkward just bouncing against a wall to activate it but it did work.
2: The wall maze. Rather frustrating, sometimes it would take a while for the sensors to detect you jumping against something, so the way wouldn't open up. Also if you die near the end where the flaming blocks are you have to start again, which is kinda annoying.
3: The tetris bit. I found this pretty hard, there wasn't much time to react to a block falling on you, i ended up just putting the controller down and letting myself die a few times as trying to move out of the way seemed a bit futile.
4: The wolf. Very impressive boss creature, i'd love to be able to build something like that. I wasn't entirely sure what to do, ended up just swinging on its tail then got thrown up into the air. I assume that's what supposed to happen!
5: Inside the wolf. Got to the end and saw the counter and then realised i was supposed to be setting the red things green, so had to go back and look for the ones i didn't activate. Got up to 33 and couldn't find the other 2. Eventually found them but they weren't that easy to spot in the corners.

Excellent level chain nonetheless!

ADDED A VIDEO! IT'S on the first post!
tnx to http://lbp.me/u/Ylleylleylleylle !

@ frostinski
thank you for your feedback!
for the most of what you say it's way to late to change the whole level x)

things for the next update:

- make turning on the teleporter easier,
- and if that continues that people get stuck i'm going to block the way to the teleporter if you don't spoke with clive yet. made it now...
i thought it is kinda fun to figure out how to go up there again. (cause it is possible!, and even more easier to figure out with the two updates, added bounce pad AND arrow!)
- make acing the wall maze easier
- try to slow down the tetris thing, but i'm not sure if i want to do that... some people love it some hate it...
- thinking about a fix how to let people know to turn on all green lights, but is it realy so much frustrating to go 1/3 of the road back? it's not far. it's designed to go back. - edit: done
if you found all you DON'T need to go back to the end. i guess to expect to do THAT is what people make frustrating feelings in this situation... as well i edited the level today a few hours ago so the first one only opens up if you make all first 4 lights green so the player knows - they trigger something! i hope thats good?

thank you again!

I actually played this yesterday before you requested F4F. I probably can't be that detailed because I didn't write as I played like I usually do.

-- Very nice menu and level selection. Maybe I should copy that for my level Although I don't like the idea of people starting on the wrong part.

-- Cool that you offer it in both English and German -- that's the first time I've seen that. The English was OK, some spelling mistakes and a few lines that were awkward. I know you are working on this, though!

-- Nice use of the story characters. Kind of like an epilogue to LBP2.

-- I did struggle at the beginning a little because I think it mentioned to go for a green light, and there was actually a non-interactive green light next to the 3 red/green buttons. I didn't see the actual buttons at first and thought maybe there were 2 other green lights in different areas so I ran around for awhile.

-- The skunk bunnies were cute and unique. I would add some voice effects when they are talking (I think only the elder did this). I liked how the story made excuses for the presence of bounce pads and lots of fire traps in the temple, that was funny.

-- I echo some of the things Frostinski said. The maze was a bit tricky to get the proper path to open every time (I didn't die, but almost did), and sometimes the Tetris pieces came down on you too fast. Maybe just zoom the camera out a bit on the Tetris? I think that might help.

-- I did think those sections (wall maze, tetris, and inside of fox) were awesome, though. Very creative. Every time I started to get a little tired of the standard platforming sections, you'd hit me with one of those cool obstacles.

-- I'll just mention again how awesome that giant fox is. The first cutscene with just his paw crushing things was a very nice touch. Like others said, backtracking through the fox was the only part I didn't like. The counter was great, but there was no warning or explanation of what the 35 switches were or that you needed to get all of them. I would add a hint about that at the beginning, so the player at least knows about them before going through.

-- There was one part in there somewhere where you just run across totally blank ground for a long time (maybe before one of the temples?). Might want to put something in there to make it feel complete.

Nice job overall. Long adventure with good characters and a lot of variety.

@roo5676
thanks!

the menu german and english: yeah i though why not - it was not that difficult as i thought at the beginning
staring on a wrong level: well... what if someone needs a break or need to go all of sudden? i did this option so they can start where they leaved.

characters: thank you!

green light: hm... i'll do it blue in the next update done

voice effects for the normal skunkbunnys: sadly there is not a single one voice effect what would fit to them... sorry! i can not record voices. would need help for that...

what frostinski said: well i allready did another edit on "where is fire in the maze" to see if it is now better..
tetris: zoom out a bit on the tetris part? hm nice idea - going to try that on the next update - edit: done

sections: yeah i tryed that for the same reason

backtracking: i don't know if you saw the new update (you can play it again per choosing lv4 directly) i did it so that you NEED to put on all first 4 of the first room. so the player knows, ah they are related to something. i hope that is enough?

blank: the blank part in front of the temple... yeah i thought its's kinda something like a big big holy entreance... so... i thought it should be empty but ok. i think about it what i could so with it![edit: did it!]

overall: thank you very much! you helped as well as the others

EDIT: GOT AN IDEA NOW MAYBE IT FIXES IT - ( for the hint in the insides ) edit: DONE

ok Manage to play everything, great series, loved the story, The design was good especially the Fire temple and inside the fox.
The Maze in the fire temple, thats crazy >_< I can imagine how long it took you for that. The design of the skunk bunnies was cool but I got confused, why was the elder yellow? >_<

but its not really a bad thing
The platforming was good, inside the fox that was amazing ^^
It was a bit tough but it didnt really affect the experience, what really got me a little frustated was that sometime when climbing the fox throat etc the grapple hook would get stuck and sometimes wouldnt move in some points.

But everything else was perfect, the lighting and the coloring, great job, the Ending i loved it, the fireworks were awesome, great job

thank you bloo_boy
love your review!

yes... the maze is still crazy to fix if something like a bug is found... but heh was fun! was one of the first things i created for the whole level set
the elder? why yellow? well... it's color. they use red paint cause of the fire abilities they got. they are normally only black and white. so the blue one is the helper of the elder and technologic user and the yellow is the elder. thats it. simple

yes i know the grappling hook, i just don't know how to fix that... heh do you? you just need to know the item well to get used to it and know when it choose what. sooooo its kinda a little big planet issue to learn how to use it over the months/years on all levels as well storyline. i know i could try to build it further appard but... than everything would be huge spaced inside and that would hurt the feeling of being inside him. this tight feeling of wanting out there.

thank you hehe the firework yesh and i was so lucky that he on 90% of the times is moving the hands to his heart when he gets on whitescreen on the end. thats cute ^^

@ shouk:

OMG
the pictures! THIS is amazing! LOVE YOU!

i draw as well but i don't want to share infos in public now.
(you reminded me that i forgot to add some hair to some of them to show they are female... let's see if i find a solution for that without killing the ears) (published it! i took your hair design as good as possible x3)

i'm scared to say this. but here is a small info about the water:

normal water:
sackboy: FINE
skunk bunny: FINE

swifown spitted water:
sackboy: FINE
skunk bunny: DEATH

inside swifown's acid water:
sackboy: DEATH
skunk bunny: DEATH

but i guess swifown is bathing in the normal water resources in this region so the normal ground water is deathly for them as well. so skunk bunnies can drink and swim in water... as long it was not in touch with swifown their natural fiend.
so the picture is still right - they get scared if someone brings water who might not know about swifown.

what was the best and the most worst part of the level? (you would help with just answer to this than it's a even better feedback!)

I BTW did a review of another level from you ingame

@PTdragon:
thank you!, i'll try to!!
going to play your level during the day!

Thanks for the feedback of "Prius_Recycle Rescue". That was a really fun level.

VISUALS:
The visuals are good. The skunk bunny sackbots looked cool, and the giant dog boss is amazing. Great job remaking the interior ship from LBP2 story mode.

SOUND:
Good music choices.

GAMEPLAY:
The level has a lot good ideas, such as the grappling hook and grabinator inside the wolf and the maze. There's also a really interesting part that reminds of "Tetris".

OVERALL:
That's a really good level. I don't see that much problems, so good job. A yeah vote and a heart.

Hey there,

well many things have been said already but nethertheless i liked the level
original idea, very cool looking bunnies and challenging obstacles.
The story was good, nice work there with the camera.
Really good boss fight, kinda suprised me that i got swallowed, thumps up!
The maze was great, the tetris part was an interesting idea but it came a bit surprisingly for me. it was really hard at the beginning because i had to figure out what to do there, so i died several times.

Overall an enjoyable level with charme and a good story

well i need to update the tetris part anyway cause people say they want a more outzoomed cam so they see it a bit faster
and i'll let him say "You'll have to dodge a lot stuff!" is that good? (i try to keep him bit in character with what he says)

as well i want to remove one of the fireballs cause this one kills mostly everytime.

Short version:
As now is one of my favorite LBP2 levels/series,maybe even my absolute favourite.
Voted , hearted and hearted you as author

Longer one:
Is all so... professional that i don't know where start!
Really nice intro, the MM story mode reference is absolutely not out of place
The bunnies are too much well done,is nie the characters concept and is really nice theyr village too
I liked A LOT the dialogues, the hidden bunny crack me up
I liked the part where the bunny follow you it give a nice videogame atmoshpere
The fox is awesome,just this
The way of kill it reminded me Joe&Mac for SNES,automatic kudos for me
The action is various,i liked specially the "tetris" part but the blocks labyrinth was cool too
I absolutely loved all the stylish touch like the fireworks or the sky with stars

GREAT job dude, personal and professional at the same time

For F4F try this

Is an old style adventure where 1 error is game over, and play after play you get better and go more far
You control a sackbot that can do sword attack and roll/dash, on the thread you read controls and all!

@all: thank you again for helping, i just wonder - is there somehting left what NEED to be fixed in a next update now?
if you see in my thread all RED text is a undone edit i want to do, and all GREEN text is allready published and finshed updates.
dunno if i allready said that i think that is a nice system tokeep track of what you still need to do and what not. it as well shows others what you did as updates. and what you want to do.

I really enjoyed this. Great story, good game play. Must have died fifty times in the maze...

The whole time I was running around inside the wolf, I thought I was healing it from whatever cancer made it go wild... So, I was a little sad when the thing blew up at the last switch. I wasn't a little sack doctor healing a wolf, I was planting explosives! Talk about bursting bubbles.

But then there were fireworks, and I didn't feel so bad.

Hey there, played this the other day, here's some feedback:
+ I liked how fire was good and water was bad for once (story wise). Made for a nice change.
- Hated how the skunk would say: "c'mon follow me!", and I was like: "I"m trying but it's still a cutscene! rawr!"
- I would have also liked a "nice" end to the wolf. I was hoping he would be misunderstood, sick, or a misplaced giant's pet or something.
+ Liked how you tied it into the story mode kinda, you could easily make a series out of it.
+ Thank you for the option to skip to X level! Level links seem to be locked for me sometimes (until I replay, wth MM?) or don't work at all.
Much appreciated. If anyone is using level links, this is the example to follow.

Plus I enjoyed it.
I shall heart next time if I haven't done so already.

Hey there, this is a response to your F4F request.

First of all, let me just say that I had no idea what I was getting into when I started up your level. It wasn't a level at all, but an entire mini-series! Where to begin? Well, I suppose I'll have to whip out and blow the dust off the old to-the-point review system of mine.

Story/Dialog

+ Quirky characters
+ A unique plot
+ Points for originality
- Dialog contained various text faces, such as "O_o", etc. Though not really an issue, this creates a feeling of unprofessionalism that would otherwise not be present and that the level could benefit without.

Gameplay

+ Several well-executed gameplay mechanics
+ Most, if not all gameplay mechanics were original
+ It was fun--plain and simple.
+ The difficulty level was sometimes challenging, but never frustrating.

Design and Aesthetics

+ The overall level design was great and fairly well structured ('level' system)
+ Custom menus were a nice touch
- Aesthetics could use some work in some places.
- Some materials were overused.

Final Thoughts
Your series is pretty darn solid! The only complaints I really have are concerning the dialog and some of the aesthetics. The dialog contained various text faces, such as "O_o", etc. Though not really an issue, this creates a feeling of unprofessionalism that would otherwise not be present and that the level could benefit without.
As far as the aesthetics go, perhaps it's just your specific art style, but some areas felt like they were either rushed or done by someone very young. They were by no means bad, but take for example the fire temple. It used a lot of the same stone material, so there wasn't very much interesting scenery for almost that entire part.

+/- Spread
+: 9
-: 3

Spread: +6

Final Score: :star::star::star::star:

I got stuck in the third part after the Skunkbunny disappears. The first rock moved into the wall but the others just stayed there. Other than that it was a very good level with an interesting story.2011-03-10 18:33:00

iGnzlz: i never had this problem ... i check it out and see what i can do to prevent it. (EDIT: see next post! updated it!)

you can try again to play it - choose level 1 and go to the "level skip" in the menu. you can choose level 3 and try again!
it never happened befor so it should work now. - but i still go and try to prevent it in future.

its kinda hard to fix, cause you won't see if it is fixed or not if it only happens every 50th play...

ok fixed the issue of my last post:

NEW UPDATE AT LEVEL 3 beginning:

- made the stones smaller to prevent getting stuck
- made the gyroscopes very strong to prevent rotate
- made the upgoing signal a loop to prevent not going up again if it misses
- made a second player sensor to get another input to lift it up
- also fixed a small stupid error i did. the first signal blocked the second security signal if it won't work on first try.

Ah, I love it. It's a very pro level series and I feel humbled playing it since it's so nicely done. I don't have much to say, it's very well polished. I guess if anything the english is a little oddly worded, but it's easily overlooked. I like to think the skunk folk talk cute. haha I love em!

The menus have red hilite on red. It's a lil hard to see, but still works. Maybe it's the lighting?
Some things? Lvl 1- The first pipe isn't slippery, so I stopped midway. I was waiting.. waiting to fall.. untill I just ran down myself. It's no big deal. I felt so silly.
I love the temple and the maze! The last tetris part I kept dying. It's a bit too fast for me, but I loved it! The kid was so sarcastic. Cute! The acting setup is really pro!
I'm a sucker for the 'delving in innards and boucing around like a looney guts' levels, and this was fantastic. Love the glowy bits. There's a ton of logic and flare to this. Bravo! Love it!

hello. hmm where to start...it didnt take me long to get absorbed into this world you have created, the skunkbunnys have an original look along with funny dialogue, cant help but like them though i also would of liked to slap one into fire also the beginning is identical to the huge spaceship which is cool, and you stayed faithfull to the story characters personalitys, though i think higgenbothom (spelling?) should have said somthing more obscure,in that way he does.

i very muched like the scenery too,but noticed some areas could use a tiny bit more detail,at some parts where the path is broken with the burning pit splitting it i think it would look better with abit of rubble, another thing is at the area with the tetris like blocks, one messed up and they all fell at funny angles but sorted themselves out eventually.

oh one last thing when your inside the wolf at the end i think its growling should be abit more echoey (made up word).i loved the maze part the most, the hints are very subtle, which is good.it looks like someone has been there before and marked out a path to help others or somthing, overal the gameplay was fun and was never frustrating or tedious,i also enjoyed going inside the wolf and seeing its panic stricken face as im traveling through its body lol.i really enjoyed playing, and was very absorbed into your world while doing so

ohhh and the menus too i thought were very clever,a great idea so people can replay their fave parts

thank you so much you two!!

@cheezy: do you know a way to make it slippery? i just know to make it grabable... not slippery
that would help me a lot XD would be amazing!

@gigglecrab: oh? the tetris part messed up? what happened exactly? this would be a HUGE bug if that would mess up. cause it can make the level unfinishable.
could i get more details on that? thanks!

EDIT: made it slippery now but it makes 0 difference if you want to stop falling there you still can. nvm people won't hurt it to press to the left if they stop falling. it's just a small pipe heh

I haven't tried it myself, but on the same material changer, see if you can set friction down to zero. I'm not entirely sure this can work on objects like pipes, but I've noticed half of that section is behind walls anyways, so why not hide some glass there? Or even better: Build it with dark/light matter and slap a material changer on it to make it slippery. But it isn't a big deal, that section is so small it was more my fluke haha. It'd be more trouble to work out rounded corners that just have pipes. Keep it hun, it's a fantastic level!2011-03-11 07:19:00

Hi, ForcesWerwolf!

I tried you level's seria as F4F for my Sneezies Demo and it was really Great adventure! You created so interesting and beautiful journey, that I pass though it in one breath! Very good story, nice decorations and excellent boss battle with inside adventures! And you created amazing puzzle with labyrinth. I love it! There were so many fun and interesting moments so I only can say - WOW! I love it!
All levels parts have very good design and gameplay is always interesting and with good difficulty level. Very good creation! It was really fun!

P.S. Also I gave you the heart as creator! And will announce your level on Russian LBP community Fun site - littlebigrussia.ru. You totally deserve it!

And I will wait for next levels from you!

Hey I loved this ! It was so creative and artistic.

But one thing that bothered me was the long wait times on text - and they talk SO MUCH! Could you do this as a subtitle instead? That way I don't have to wait for so long. Well, if you just have one line text, a subtitle isn't necessary, but lessening the wait time would be much better for the flow of the game. I didn't really like stopping all the time.

Also, there is a bug where when you play it the first time, you can't go to level 2 and you have to restart. Maybe you shouldn't lock this level link?

If you can, F4F my sig please!

thank you so much you three!

@dragoninchains: thanks !

@domik12: that is a nice idea! thank you!! this will help a lot

@unskilled: i would LOVE to do that... but i don't see a solution for this atm.
i would need a lot tests first befor it works. i use sequenzers to let them act, speak and using the cam. as well the most cams are inside of the sackbots.
it's hard to let them act the same and more important: the right way if you can chose when they start the next speekbubble.
well... as well one of the levels is so highly overheated that it is impossible to change bigger things. i would need to delete things first i need. i allready deleted every single item i don't really need or is not visible. - this is not an excuse to don't test if i am at least able to fix that. but i am sure it will not work... let me see... *tries stuff*

and for the problem with the level link... i really don't know why the level link don't works sometimes D:
it should! nothing is blocked or closed or locked. also i never had the problem and i played the level around 60 times now (online uploaded) (of course more often on my moon) i think that is kinda a lbp problem OR got something to do with small disconnects of peoples internet. - well i replaced the level link with a new one... hopefully it work's now... if not i'm going to add something like a note... i don't know...yet

Hey there, just finished your level series... and loved it! The story was funny, as were the skunk bunnies, they made little to no sense at all, but that's what you'd expect from strange civilizations in the far reaches of Craftworld. Plus, them being cute and funny just made me want to see their quest through to the very end. Plus the boss at the end was really amazing too. I still don't know how you made him so seamlessly toss Sackboy up in the air and eat him as he fell down, I thought I was going to get on his back and the next moment I was being swallowed by it.

The insides of the ice fox were quite unique, even though I've seen something similar in terms of level design in Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves. There the spaces were bigger, but in return it didn't feel very menacing to be in the body of the T-rex. Here I was really on edge the whole time because of the tight path forward and the numerous dangers. One small annoyance was how inaccurate the grappling hook was when trying to aim at the acid-oozing mucuses (mucii?), but I guess that can't be helped in such a narrow environment.

My favourite part, though, was the fire maze, which was really well done and quite complex. I'd have made the hints less obvious (no arrow stickers), because that just trivialized some of the parts which would've required some experimentation otherwise - perhaps the use of red/green ambient lights to guide the player in the right direction would've been sufficient instead. Actually, as a whole I was surprised by how few lights you used to illuminate the way. They really help build atmosphere, especially on dark levels such as the ones in the series.

Some suggestions:

I've found a couple of misspellings, typos or grammar errors:
- "wired jokes" --> "weird jokes"
- "sample of the insides" (when talking about the fire temple) should be reworded, insides are the organs that reside within our body, not the interiors of a building
- "prevent from robbers and dangers" (once again talking about the fire temple)--> "protect from robbers and dangers"

Also, there was one part that I didn't find fair at all, despite its complexity, and that was the tetris challenge. There was way too little time to react to either the fireballs or the larger flat pieces to avoid them, and some deaths were simply impossible to avoid even if you'd be able to react instantly, since the 3 or 4 block long pieces squashed you no matter how soon you tried to jump out of their way - your only hope was that they weren't going to fall where you were at that moment.

Finally, the detail on the environments were quite inconsistent - sometimes they looked awesome and sometimes you were walking on an undecorated concrete material against a black background with nothing but a skunk bunny companion to add some colour. If you can find the thermo space, try to revisit these locations and add some life to them - lights, statues that the bunnies worship, perhaps some foliage (if plants can coexist with the pyromaniacal tendencies of the bunnies at all ).

All in all, though, it was a very enjoyable journey and has earned you a Yay and a heart as well. Well done!

@sny:

thank you a lot sny!

- about the maze: i got a lot picture uploads which showed people stuck in the maze on some points i never thought people would get stuck there... so i made the hints...
i don't think i should remove them. as well i feel sorry for more skilled players to break the fun for searching the way.

- i will fix the following misspellings: " wired jokes " to " weird jokes "
"sample of the insides" to "sample of the interiors"
and "prevent" to "protect" (edit: all done)

- tetirs part: hm... i don't know how to fix that. maybe make it a bit slower for the sequenzer? i dunno. i thought the lights would give enogh time to jump aside. and i ace it every time. sure i know where they are XD but it is possible at least. i had some people who said it was exact right, some said it was to difficult and others said they want it as an extra minigame level. so... i'll try to find a solution to make it more enjoyable... at least it's time limited and over after a short time. so the player can continue if he's able to do it or not. [EDIT: i made it running a very very small bit slower as well the warning lights are now faster visible and give you more time to choose which way to go.]

- i will try to decorate more to make it look better on some places. termo i hate you, this will be difficult x) BUT i wanted an empty feeling of the places. out of stone. typical for the skunk bunnies... difficult to find a solution but i'lll see what i can do

thank you very much!

(also i'll remove things like " : P " in the bubbles) (done for level2/3)

A very entertaining level, as I thought everything about the level was pointed out in this thread a dozen times already. The thing that bothered me was little amount of details on the planet, some parts of it was just stone+black background. Couple of dialogues were little too over prolonged. Also, you made your ice on fire part veeery frustrating to me )
I applause for amount of time you invested in the level - it was a very good work. I'm sad how worthy things don't have publicity they deserve to.

@kashadooo: thank you! pz read the update in this post below did it after you gave me your feedback.

@llukelukeluke: thank you! i tryed my best and still do!

- UPDATES:

A) i made more stuff in front of the temple so it looks not empty anymore there

B) made the ice/glass part at the beginning of the fire temple a way lot more easier
[EDIT2: made it a bit more difficult again, cause it made it look like a boring easy level... there is no need for a button to make the glass blocks stoping from moving... lol]

C: edited the part with the "stylish" jump a bit. now player can return and collect missed points of the room befor.

thanks to you all for feedback! you are the ones who make my level better!

PLZ, if i forgot a F4F or a thanks button - plz let me know! as far i think i got everyone!

Interesting level. The maze part was well done, but the other sections seemed more like filler than anything else. Overall it was a good level, but I just felt some sections could have been a little shorter, especially near the end. I liked the story and it was pleasing to the eye, it was just a little long imho. Keep up the good work.2011-03-17 03:00:00

Really great series of levels!

I loved the way you stuck with the LBP2 story line, then gave your own spin on it! The puzzles and platforms were all very nicely thought through. I particularly liked the block maze, very cool! Took me a little while to figure out, but I love a good puzzler!

Unfortunately, I was called away and had to leave half way through! I got as far as the part when you are eaten by the big wolf...if only there was some way I could get directly to that part again without having to go through it all. Ah well, maybe i'll just do it all again later on!

Rated and hearted! Deserves WAY more plays!

hey sorry for the late reply.dont have acess to online much now. dont know if youve tweaked the tetris part but what happend was i think the square block landed on my sackboy and got wedged agaisnt the wall diagonally,so all the others fell out of place too. but it did sort itself out, maybe strengthen the gyroscope? idk i think ill play again to see whats changed 2011-04-03 18:25:00
