I was working on this level for so long, I did SO much work on it, and i showed my friends what was in it. One of them got into a sackbot set to "Copy Owner Outfit" and then I had to leave, so I didn't check what my friends did. When I tried showing my OTHER friend, and I went to edit, it kept going to play mode instead. At first I thought I accidentally did play mode, but then I realized what had happened. It said I didn't have certain packs to play the level, and therefore could not edit it. I was now in an infinite loop of playing, and I can't edit my almost finished level any more! If someone has encountered this problem and knows if it can be fixed or how to fix it, please let me know! I will be in debted to you! (Not really I guess, but I'll be SO grateful to you if you can.) Please, for the good of LBP2!

You need to get your friend back online and edit it, then delete the copy owner sackbot. Then don't show your friend create mode after that.

I agree. A friend did it to me as well on accident. Now I'm cautious and always save before showing a level to a friend. Luckily, I was able to remake the entire level.

Hm... I can't try as of yet but I will tommorow if she gets on. I hope this helps, I don't wanna start over all the level creation **** again... even if I did get the "most important part," I still have to make up for a lot of lost time >.> But thanks for the help ^^b

Or just buy the packs you need. One of my friends had this problem, they made an epic level and then they had people helping them (group effort ) and one of them set it to a costume my friend didn't have, and I heard he wrote to Mm and they unlocked it, or something. But yeah, just get the player back.

If you are both in Create mode together, then the guest player cannot place objects and decorations from DLC that the host doesn't own. From your description it sounds like he was able to anyway... How? Did you, as the host, leave Create mode while he, the guest, stayed inside of it and made changes? I thought that when a host leaves, the guests automatically follow...

Or you can buy ALL the DLC like I recently did and you'll never have that problem again... @Antikris: it sounds like he had a sackbot that's set to copy the costume of the sackboy who enters it. The friend's sackboy costume was using DLC he didn't have. The costume got transferred to the sackbot, he saved the level without realizing this, and now he's locked out of his own level due to the DLC copied onto the sackbot. It's really a pretty silly oversight on MM's part.
