My current LBP1 profile is from my old PS3, so I can't import it to LBP2. How do I start a new profile under the same username as my current PS3?

The only way I know how is to go to your PS3 dashboard, into the game menu slider, and near the top of that should be a Profile info option. Inside that you should find your LBP1 profile. You can delete it from there. Be careful though.

No, the "delete" option is all grayed out so I can't.

Hmm, that's strange. I just checked and I can delete mine just fine. In the game menu slider, I go to 'Game Data Utility', and it lists my LBP1 profile as 'Wayward LittleBigPLanet Profile'. I press triangle and it gives me two options; 'Delete' and 'Information'. Neither are greyed out. If I go to 'Saved Data Utility(PS3tm)', I can copy or delete my profile data there too.
