What game? Gamertag?

Yes I have an Xbox (and a wii and a ps3).

ALSO, what about Gears 2?

WALL-E is great, but it's not my favorite Pixar film. I hear that Left 4 Dead didn't quite live up to the hype. And then there's the fact that I can't justify paying to play a game online; it just feels redundant to me.

I'm always one to go with instant gratification so I'd say either WALL-E or Left 4 Dead. The real question is: which do you like more? Cute robots or the undead?

Disney & Pixar. Isn't that how they usually roll?

Pixar is owned by Disney and puts movies out with both names on the film. However, a Disney film does not necessarily mean Pixar was involved.

Fight Club blue ray.

I see that Fight Club has been announced for Germany, but not in America. My heart jumped when I saw your post... now it's just broken.

Hmm. Well, Bolt is a three dimensional animated film, and it's Disney. So, doesn't that mean Pixar was involved, or is Disney in works with another CGI organization?2008-11-23 23:39:00

Yes, Pixar is a Disney owned company, a small footstool in it's vast empire as Disney realized that Pixar = good movies = better movies then Disney's later ones = $$$ = buying them outright instead of letting them go after their contract.

Bolt is a Disney animation studios (I think Bolt's of their main ones, anyway - they decide to go 3D for a bit with chicken Little)- it's kinda like Sony and MM. If the main Sony developer thing (I think it would be SCE... or something), the main game making studio, makes a game, it doesn't mean that MM, a subsection of that, is involved- or something.

... ANYWAY, um... I would get Left4Dead personally, but that'd just because it's a videogame, and I don't buy movies. :/

O_O

Talking about Chicken Little totallky reminded me of something!

Anybody here play Kingdom Hearts 2? It's a game in a series that mixes the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney. They couldn't put any Pixar characters into the games because at the time Disney and Pixars were beefing with each other. However, Chicken Little was a character in the game as a summon!

So, I guess there is a difference. Pixar and Disnet Animation Studios (or whatever they call themselves.)

Yeah, I had KH2 AND 1 AND CoM. Although they ruined it, methinks, by having tons of Disney filler that just recreated the movies instead of refitting it to the story, and setting Roxas up to be a major character only to abandon him for basically the entire gamne... not to mention not answering any questions from first game, or the interquel...

ANYWAY, yeah, I chose GoW2, so don't count my vote for anything.

EDIT: Wait, I thought you were grounded? so, will your parents not know about this purchase...?

Hm, I don't think you started to play LBP yet... did you? I never saw you, I think anyway...

Personally, i think L4D. It may be short, but it's said to have very high replay value. I just wish my PC could run it or it comes out on PS3 2008-11-24 01:25:00

Wall-E = Horrible film.
Left 4 Dead = Only good online.
Gears of War 2 = Complete suckage.
XBox Live = I'm too busy laughing at the fact you guys seriously have to pay for online, to decide which you should get.

Spend it on the PS3 or Wii. Or save it, any of those is better than the others.

I voted for Gears 2. Looks good. Don't have an Xbox, if I did I would play that game hands down. That being said, Left 4 Dead would be my second choice. I saw the opening cinematic on Kotaku. Just awesome!2008-11-24 17:43:00

No, just a guy who's sick of animated kid's films, and games that people rate so high purely because "omg it has a chainsaw on da gun!!11"
Left 4 Dead is only good online, playing with friends, and whoever thinks that paying to go online is a good idea deserves to be dragged out into the street and shot really.

Woah, let's bring it down a notch. I agree it's overkill to have to pay to play a game online, but some people don't mind it that much. Let's just try to avoid the confrontations; nothing good will come of it.

On a topic-related note, I saw Gears over the weekend and wasn't terribly impressed. A lot of flaws show up on an HDTV. That said, it's far from flawless and shouldn't necessarily be hailed as the best looking game out there.

Well, the big plus I heard about Left 4 Dead is the online. It's supposed to be really great. But don't get it if your 1 year of Xbox live dies in a few days xD Since you can only get 1 of these items.

Gears of Wars 2 isn't overhyped at all IMO :3. I played it at a friends house, and it was very fun. While I did hear that the multiplayer is a bit laggy, and has a few kinks to work out.
I'd recommend that if you want.

Wall-E is a pretty nice movie. I enjoyed it thoroughly xD But getting it in Blu-Ray is meh, unless you intend to watch it 20 times, which I doubt it >_>

The Xbox live depends on one thing, how much time left?

Sorry bud, but the xbox's online service is SO much better, so much faster on the same connection, and so much more reliable. I WISH I could pay ?40 a year and get a premium PSN connection. I'd do it just so I could actually get online most of the time and not have to wait so long for my downloads.

Not a fanboy, I own all three systems and rate them all objectively. They all have downfalls, and PSNs lack of a decent network is one of them. The PSN store on the other hand was miles ahead of the Xbox marketplace in terms of usability. Since the update to the 360, I'd say they are about equal, but that's a matter of opinion, not fact.

I bought WALL-E and I'm happy. For X-mas my parents will get me XBOX Live, Gears 2, and Left 4 Dead. It'll be cheaper too because they know I just want a working game with the box and instructions, it won't have to be new.2008-11-27 17:31:00
