Littlebigplanet 2 really needs a custom jump powerup.

Okay we all can agree that the floaty jump controls for certain types of levels don't mix well.I know you can make custom jumps already but the problem is not everyone is able to figure out how to make it and sometimes you can never get the accurate jump you want unless you're a jedi creator.Also the fact that custom jumps take up some space depending how complicated your logic is.This is not very noob friendly , alot of people don't even know you can make custom jumps let alone figure out how to make it work right and as a result we don't see much custom jumps levels that are done right..for now.This seems like a problem for just hardcore pure platforming levels and not just puzzle floaty platformers.I read the reason they never fixed the jumping is because then lbp1 stuff wont be compatible if they change the controls completely....but then i come up with a easy solution to the problem and I can't believe they didn't do this....A custom jump power up!!.Pare of boots that can be tweakable, tweaking such a powerup won't be hard, you get the option how high you can jump and how fast it takes to do the jump and how slow/fast it takes to fall.Simple and fixes alot of issues with lbp2 and because it's easy to do and everyone will know about it we will be seeing alot of platformers with accurate jumping.2011-03-02 04:02:00

Gravity = 400%.

PS: If you can't handle the floaty jumps, don't play the level. The level was built in LBP2, therefore, unless the creator was a total idiot, the jumps are made for the LBP2 jumping style.

You can't jump high with gravity at 400% you need to use sackbots and logic which I already explained why that's a problem also gravity effects everything!! This could be a problem for certain situations where you're just trying to jump high and fast....you will have to use logic to keep things under control(again wasting space) and the jumping isn't that accurate unless you're a jedi creator........this kind of option should be easy.I can handle the floaty jumping but it's still a problem.Nearly every lbp2 review mentions that

I have never seen how "floaty jumps" are an issue. Those stupid people are always complaining about how it isn't Mario, but if the idiots wanted to play Mario, then they should have bought Mario, not LBP.... People these days...2011-03-02 12:15:00

Really, the logic isn't complicated at all. Anyone who has watched the tutorials should easily be able to figure it out. If you need an explanation though, just look up one of hundreds of videos explaining it on youtube. Mm doesn't need to create a whole new "power-up" just because people are lazy.2011-03-02 18:34:00

Her's all I use for a standard basic jump on a sackbot: 1 timer, 1 impact sensor, and 1 basic mover. Is it that hard to do?2011-03-03 22:25:00

i agree jumping isn't a problem people just be hating and trolling. It sucks and very ignoring and sucks yes i did say it twice. Definitely Darksydephil (twitch) i mean who got a create a jump logic or just find somewhere in the lbpcommunity to find a simple double jump tutorial its just lazy

People who complain about LBP2's jump physics could shut the hell up now. For what I've seen, there are multiple ways now to get the sackboys/bots to jump cleanly and precisely, and I'm certain there are hundreds of players willing to teach those stuff to people. Adding a power-up and therefore lots of programming and lag-inducing things to the game for the sake of reducing a bit of effort is simply redundant. And the last thing LBP's creator mode needs is getting bloated with redundant mechanics.

The levels themselves are build for LBP's loose physics and they'll have become a second nature for every dedicated player by now anyway.
