A material that sticks to sack boy

The other night I was playing a level with a trap that consisted of a bounce pad that propeled me into a creature with one side that had a material on it that wouldnt let go of me. While telling my girlfriend about it i had a killer idea for my first level. But now i cant remember the level name and i cant recreate the effect. Need help cteatin fly paper for sackboy. thanks2011-03-01 23:30:00

Not sure but maybe if you put an impact sensor on it, set it to "touch" and wire that up to a gravity tweaker. Make the gravity as strong as possible and maybe when it detects sackboy it will keep him stuck to it. Although I'm afraid this won't work considering %400 gravity your still going to fall off.

....hmm, how did they do that. Might need a sackbot.

Maybe it emitted invisible Dark Matter under Sackboy when he got close, then wirelessly destroyed the Dark Matter when it wanted to drop you?2011-03-02 00:16:00

Just put on a material changer or tweaker ( i always forget the name) then make the sackbot sticky. Thats it you welcome go try it out that sackboy should stick to anything thats sticky like it is.

It might be impossible but you know you never know try it out.

You should be able to stick the material tweaker right on the object and make it sticky, too. Instead of a sackbot, or both.2011-03-02 04:02:00

Sackbots and sackboys don't react the same way to the environment as other objects do. If you put a material tweaker on a sackbot, the "sticky" and "bouncy" options will be grayed out. If you connect a string or winch or something to a sackbot, not only will the sackbot not be suspended off the ground by that string, but objects hanging down off a sackbot that way won't be suspended either. The string will just stretch beyond its limits and break. Basically, sackboys are somewhat outside the normal rules of the physical simulation.

I don't know how they got sackboys to stick to something. I'm guessing they faked it.

Were you playing as a sackbot? If so, they could simply have put a mover and a tag that made you move towards that item.2011-03-03 00:46:00
