What music inspires you do go on and give you thoughts | 2011-03-01 20:51:00 Author: Chornijbumer Posts: 14 |
I'm lucky enough to have some pretty decent Sennheisers (actually, not lucky. I got a job and paid for them myself but it was an attempt to be modest, stop talking Jonny) that I use to pump Radiohead into my ears at the loudest volume I can before it hurts. It calms me down, helps me collect my thoughts, though I quite like a song called Nude. It starts with the lines "Don't get any big ideas, they're not gonna happen", which sets me back a bit What about you? You never said. (: | 2011-03-01 21:01:00 Author: JonnysToyRobot Posts: 324 |

(: Well for me I like to kick back to Enigma type music , slow paced calm music.... it has a certain effect when getting your ideas together | 2011-03-01 21:21:00 Author: Chornijbumer Posts: 14 |

I was just listening too this lot i try and play music with the type of level im working lol so slow boring one mostly this lot what i had on today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2syeirxJXI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJthgbSQqBY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A4GuOOv1vU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_ym7LUD_gs yeah i have odd taste | 2011-03-01 23:43:00 Author: jump_button Posts: 1014 |
I don't usually listen to anything, but when I do, it's usually some painfully obscure techno, Danny Elfman, or I just huck that one Ladytron song from create mode temporarily into my level. ...and if I'm listening to anything that isn't on my PS3, I use my Dr. Dre beats, and anything works as inspiration. @jump_button: Your music taste isn't that odd. It's just a bit otakuish... Which isn't super uncommon. If you were listening to Circus Contraption, or Velvet Acid Christ, I think that would more likely constitute as odd. Anything, and everything from my music collection. I always jam tunes when creating. Much better than listening to LBP create sounds. | 2011-03-02 01:09:00 Author: smasher Posts: 641 |
I don't listen to music when I'm thinking of ideas, usually. However, while working on an idea that I've thought about fora while, I will jam to trance, techo, rock, and metal. For rock and metal, I usually like putting on Metallica, Dragonforce, Evanescence, AC/DC, Disturbed, and System of a Down. For techno and trance... well, it's not too much by just one artist, but when I hear something good, I throw it on my playlist. My favorite songs from that playlist have to be Daggmask by Dreamnation, Raver's Fantasy by Tune Up, and It's Killing Me by DJ Toxic. Oh, and I enjoy jamming to the Timesplitters OST too. =P | 2011-03-02 03:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
Every time I make something I'm proud of I was listening to Kid Cudi. YEAH WAH WAH!! ! I have a VERY broad taste in music ranging from Dean martin, Kid cudi,Hadouken!,Jimi hendrix and much much more. | 2011-03-02 07:51:00 Author: Ghost Posts: 114 |
Oh my. There's so much. But I agree with Jump_butto that it depends on the mood of the level I'm creating. Other than that, Mars Volta, deadmau5, Crystal Fighters, PJ Harvey, The Decemberists and lately I've gotten really fond of this song: (wouldn't mind having that one as a licenced instrumental in LBP2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wtg5cTQ1WTs And the chick is hot as well | 2011-03-02 10:10:00 Author: Discosmurf Posts: 210 |
I always listen to the music available in the game, that either fits the type of level I want to try and make so I get in the mood of the level I'm aiming for, or if I haven't decided on music that fits I'll pick some music out from the game that I really like to listen to. | 2011-03-02 11:45:00 Author: Moonface Posts: 310 |
Nothing. I just sit in the emptyness of create mode. D: | 2011-03-02 13:20:00 Author: creator22 Posts: 162 |
I have a ton of cd's and a 300 disc player, but usually have my XM radio on whatever channel I am in the mood for. When I'm in the mood for something specific, I fire up the cd player. | 2011-03-02 13:27:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
*gets ready to run* I usually listen to Wu-Tang clan, Ska, or rock(audioslave, MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, RHCP, etc.)i pump it on my Montser Turbine headphones i bought(Near Audiophile Quality) from my iPhone 4 lol *books it* | 2011-03-02 13:39:00 Author: malteseassassin Posts: 66 |
I love listening to music when I create, I've got a pretty decent sounding stereo that I just plug my iPod into. It definitely depends on what I'm creating but what ever style of music I listen to I'll try to find something that either has lyrics that kinda blend into the music or no lyrics at all. I find when the lyrics of a song are to prominent they stick in my mind and become the only thing I can think about. Also, I dunno about anyone else, but I find that there's always a certain volume that's just loud enough block ambient sounds out of mind but not too loud that the music is constantly on your mind. It just sort of blends in. Maybe I'm just crazy | 2011-03-02 13:46:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |

Instumentals from movies. I have "Avatar", "Prince of Persia" and "Star Wars" songs on my Ipod. I just like to listen to music without words when I create. | 2011-03-04 04:21:00 Author: jalr2d2 Posts: 256 |
Been putting on infected mushroom lately. Also got a playlist with that guy who did the music for Jazz jackrabbit 2, Deus Ex, Tyrian... etc. He got some mad tracker skills. | 2011-03-04 04:57:00 Author: ll_ye Posts: 236 |
Here lately I've been trying to get some western-ish ideas. Most of my create music at this point is Johnny Cash, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, a little Avenged Sevenfold, a bit Muse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Tiger Army. | 2011-03-04 06:46:00 Author: DigiOps Posts: 111 |
To get in the creative mood i like to listen to Pink Floyd/Massive Attack/Gorillaz or stick one of the following sound tracks on Sunshine/Moon/28 Days later/Blade Runner etc | 2011-03-04 15:40:00 Author: thespacemonkey187 Posts: 318 |

I have the official lost soundtrack seasons 1-5 on my playstation very ambient and epic, i obtained this cos i played minecraft and thought the official soundtrack sounded so much like that one, - turns out it's really great, no lyrics, just ambient background music and helps me relax and think through complex wiring diagrams. | 2011-03-05 09:30:00 Author: Spyre-wolf Posts: 63 |
For a while iv been creating while listening to music from lbp soundtrack and teh internetz, I like to create to some fast music, but all the sudden im listening to jazz music If you would like to share your thoughts on this and if you do the same as me let me know | 2011-03-09 17:18:00 Author: bakscratch Posts: 258 |
I usually just listen to different songs in the game, but it's a pain when you have to stand on the ground to keep it going. If I get tired of that I just use the music player. I've got some Jack Johnson and Incubus on my PS3. | 2011-03-09 17:20:00 Author: Kitkasumass Posts: 494 |
i wish that the music sequencer had some instruments that a classical band might have.... | 2011-03-09 18:36:00 Author: ktmbillyjr Posts: 177 |
Well today was spent listening to pretty same-y monotone dnb like DJ Hidden and Pendulum. | 2011-03-09 18:41:00 Author: ll_ye Posts: 236 |
I listen to bargroove house music dj sets, mainly because I have some CDs loaded onto my ps3. I also like listening to really chilled out ambient music; moody soundscapes keep me inspired while creating. | 2011-03-09 21:01:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
In the mood you mean...creating right? if not well, I darken the place up a bit, put candles all over the place, a bottle of soft wine and put some soft music on, maybe some Airsupply. and maybe a bathtub full of bubbles. anywya XD im kidding but the real answer is, " it depends on what your creating" I mean look at this scenario...Imagine if your making a level based on Butterflies, your not gonna listen to rock/metal/screamo while making it right? Imagine if your doing something based on Rambo, something super actiong packed, your not gonna listen to a slow love song or something calming lol. it depends on what your trying to make basicly. | 2011-03-09 22:01:00 Author: Bloo_boy Posts: 1019 |
At times, I'll just listen to whatever comes on pandora on my Iphone. But when I'm feeling like a certain song it can really effect what my level ends up like. The overall design, the mood, atmosphere. In anycase, I do love music. | 2011-03-09 22:17:00 Author: Phazerz123 Posts: 440 |
Any sort of Game theme will do me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhRw3nE67aw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjsE1JZCSno http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg-yC0xcI9s | 2011-03-09 22:36:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
classic 80's rock music. The beatles, black sabbath, judist priest, lynard skynard, deep purple, acdc, foreign, aerosmith, that kind of stuff. Mainly because it's my favorite kind of music, but, then again, i have other songs i like that are different types too, Expecially the stuff from lbp and lbp2, i bought daniel pemberton's album from lbp1 and searched everywhere to find the other songs, eventually i found most. Though, i dont have them anymore, except the album. Which it itself isnt on my ps3. I need to get the lbp2 stuff. Anyway.... yeah. thats the kind of stuff i listen too. | 2011-03-09 23:02:00 Author: flamesterart Posts: 585 |
I put on mostly classic Sonic music or Dothack// music. *mew | 2011-03-09 23:13:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz Posts: 4261 |
I don't need music to get me in the mood for creation but if I get tired or annoyed of the quiet ambience then I just put some classical music on to keep me entetained while creating. | 2011-03-10 00:58:00 Author: Elsa Posts: 164 |
Some of the songs on my Ipod are: By the Sword by Slash and Andrew Stockdale, Colifoniaction, Can't stop, and Dani California by The Red hot Chili Peppers, Still Alive By Glados. Yellow, Viva la Vida, Clocks, and Lovers in Japan by Coldplay, Even Flow by Pearl Jam, Love in an Elevator, Cryin by Aerosmith. And another 800 songs I cant remember, or have the typing space to list. | 2011-03-10 01:11:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
for me it depends what level I'm making and what mood I'm in... | 2011-03-10 03:02:00 Author: wolverine_2008 Posts: 304 |
I listen to anything calm, soulful and jazzy. Nothing too hectic like drum 'n' bass or heavy house/techno as this sort of music makes me drive faster when I'm driving my car and would probabaly disrupt my creative process if I was listening to it in create mode. But it would be good if it made me create faster though. | 2011-03-10 10:07:00 Author: LittleBigDes Posts: 920 |
I've been listening to Lykke Li's new album Wounded Rhymes about 20 times a day on repeat play while working on Space Assassins 2. Things aren't well in the world of Ungreth right now and I don't want things to get too dark and depressing in the level, so these songs are helping me keep my creative mood upbeat while my whole life slowly seeps down the drain. Here's a taster for those unfamiliar with Lykke Li... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TTPGAy5H_E | 2011-03-10 16:33:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |

WINDOWLICKER, And maybe Cafe del Mar whenever I'm arsed enough to put it on mein paysation I'm fine with the OST, but I only pull up the radio because it's that annoying to have the music shut off every time you go on flymode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCgqnGTfJ2M the pictures kinda sexy too god forbid if im gonna get a calendar featuring such art | 2011-03-11 02:41:00 Author: Unknown User |
Mostly anime songs I've heard, many game songs like Okami, and instrumentals of anything. Which reminds me, I have to update my playlists with Sonic Colors OST. Planet Wisp Acts 1,2, and 3 music calms me to the core and makes my mind tick. | 2011-03-11 04:43:00 Author: siberian_ninja15 Posts: 444 |
