My dads level

Archive: 44 posts

Hello all you lovely people! iv recently got my dad to play lbp2 he'd never ever played lbp before, but he thought he would give it a go since i worked at MM,

so he bought himself a PS3 (which he now loves!) and i got him a copy of the game,

I got him straight into create mode and it turns out he loves it!!!

this makes me very very very very very happy! i get to spend time with my dad laughing, creating, building, playing and having alot of fun

so he has now published his very first level!!! OMG! this makes me even more happy

so the reason for this post is a very humble way of asking that if you have a chance and only if you want to could you play his level please,

its called H2 OHH NOO by shaadow005 (my dad )

even if he only gets 10 plays it would make him very very very very very very very very very very very very very happy indeed

thank you sooooooo much for reading everyone

johnee

Maybe I'm just slow but... how do you score?

Use the right stick, it shoots fishes

Quite a cool level, enjoying it (Far to greedy when it comes to the seahorses, I put all my attention onto them and the mines get me!!)

Your dad sounds awesome.

I'm seeing the same thing Ninja.

I'll queue it up a bit later.

Moving this thread to recommendations as well. Glad to see LBP bringing generations together

No... Official News. If my dear old mom made a level, that'd be like seeing a UFO.

I'll queue it up and have a play later.

It's really cool that your Dad enjoys LBP2. I got my Mum to play it recently and she loved it too.

I guess it really is a game for all generations.

That's cool that your dad likes creating and doesn't find it overwhelming. It takes a lot of patience to start out, especially when older generations sometimes aren't as familiar with video games. Nice Ill check it out later2011-03-01 16:26:00

Good grief, people - I'm SURE his dad isn't THAT old.... probably MY age...

Ya know... back in my day there used to be this thing called Arcades... (picture in the voice of the father from Hansel & Gretelbot...)

Queued up!

Haha, that's a cool level! I didn't expect much to be honest, but that's really great if he only just started playing LBP. Did you show him Blast Radius before he made the level? Because they're quite similar.

I rated http://gyazo.com/aea6eee4c4a99c2ca36711881889df1d.png.

I can understand why he likes it - I'm a dad now with kids and this is such a fun way to mess around on my own and also to spend time with the kids. I queued this one up for tonight and we'll give it a run through.

Now if we could just get my wife/their mom to play...

Well I have to play this now (already queued). I've showed my parents some of my levels but they gel all glassy eyed when I try to explain how things work. Mom stays stuff like, "I like the crystals"...and then I have to explain, it's a decoration, I didn't create that, etc. If you could build an LBP2 level using punch cards I'm sure my Dad would be able to make awesome stuff. 2011-03-01 23:01:00

in the level you are a lil underwater diver type dude and you have to survive as long as possible avoid mines and missiles by shooting them with your "Fishchukka" tm

I got to play this last night and it was a lot of fun. The only (minor) issues I ran into were with the dead-zone around the player (it would be nice if the fish spawn closer). I had a few times where I couldn't kill something because it was too close to me and my shots were emitting on the other side of it. A similar problem occurs if you're too close to the edge and all the shooter fish pile up and get in your way.
All that aside, I had a really fun time. Tried to get higher on the scoreboard, but had to settle for #4

Edit: By shooter fish, I mean Fishchukka(tm)
