Help with rotation

ok guys so I need to be able to rotate a block 360 degrees clockwise as well as counter clockwise with 90 degree incriments. I don't necessarily want to use the left or right stick to do this. say with r1 or r2...I currently have a selecter set to cycle with it's outputs going to 4 gyroscopes set to n s e and w and this works good for clockwise but how do I reverse this.

also, say you have a cube....6 faces, can you have it rotate on x or y axis faces? i would like it to be able to rotate on all three axis'.

It's probably doable to simulate 3 axis rotation but it will be fairly challenging. You can't rotate in that direction in LBP, so you'd need to build a bunch of logic and simulate the face change in other ways.

For your original question, you can use the combiner logic gate. Wire R1 to the positive and R2 to the negative inputs. Then send the output to your selector cycle input. This will allow you to reverse the direction you are turning.

1: If you cycle a selector with a negative value it should cycle in the opposite direction. If you aren't using a control stick feed your two directions into a direction combiner and feed that to your selector.

2: You can't rotate objects on the x or y axis, sorry.

after i asked the Q it hit me like flight hit the wright brothers... lol iset it so that r2 went to a splitter then to the combiner and or gate but im about to simplify this thank you!! how would i simulate a x y axis rotation? im trying to stay away from emitters currently...but if i must2011-03-01 19:37:00

You can use holo instead of emitters if you're trying to make a six sided cube with different colors on each side. Basically, you'd need to forgo real rotation and simulate the whole thing with logic.2011-03-02 01:31:00
