Looks likely that mm will be at the helm of lbp psp2 YES!!!! Even more excited now. <3 http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/28/media-molecule-hiring-programmer-for-portable-platform/ | 2011-03-01 01:05:00 Author: spok22 Posts: 206 |
Awesome! Now, if they can keep Dynamic/Static materials, the Corner Editor, add some more fancy tools, and release this on NGP by November, then I'll be very impressed (and SUPAH HAPPY!). | 2011-03-01 01:09:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

Thank god. I'm not buying anything produced by Sony Cambridge ever again. | 2011-03-11 22:58:00 Author: Bovrillor Posts: 309 |
Thank god. I'm not buying anything produced by Sony Cambridge ever again. Yeah, they abandoned LBP PSP as if it were 3 week old fish. ;_; If I get an NGP, I'll probably get their Killzone though. : | 2011-03-12 01:16:00 Author: The-Questor Posts: 1328 |
...I really want to find some way to be nice about this, but I can't. So I'll skip a long rant that would probably get me banned to say this: If you really think Cambridge didn't do the best any company could with LBP PSP, then you are blind. All the problems LBP PSP has now? Caused by weak minded players afraid of a few glitches. If this all comes true, have fun trading in bugs for a company that doesn't care about you. | 2011-03-12 01:30:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
A company that doesn't care about you. How is the ongoing support from cambridge these days? | 2011-03-12 01:43:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
How is the ongoing support from cambridge these days? Harsh, no? In our defense (the Cambridge fans), all they did was just move on. It was never their game, so why stick to it? I love Cambridge for trying to make LBP PSP possible (which they accomplished tremendously, if I may add). You can't blame them for leaving a game they never owned. As for my opinion on Mm, I say go for it! Again, I would really appreciate it if they kept all the features Cambridge added (minus the few bugs here and there), bu I'm just glad we're going to have LBP PSP2 in the first place. | 2011-03-12 01:55:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Harsh, no? Not really, they have stopped supporting the product... It's not a criticism of them, because you are right, just highlighting how far off the mark the implicatioon of the quoted text was. | 2011-03-12 02:08:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Wait... People actually care for a handheld LBP? You guys are going to bail within a month of release, like usual. Nah, must be a joke... | 2011-03-12 02:28:00 Author: Random Posts: 673 |
That's like asking when the next level kit for LBP1 is coming out. We both know that Cambridge can't add more to the game because they have a new project to finish. Even if you did have a point, you're wrong. Cambridge is still active in sponsoring contests and fixing glitches within the existing game. Seems much better than churning out overpriced DLC, no? Back to the original point: Cambridge has gone out of their way to promote the little guys. Mm has pick'd the same guy three times. You choose. | 2011-03-12 03:44:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
The difference between the two in terms of how well they support and care about their respective communities is pretty much equal from all I've seen. Of course, I'll get accused of the bias and "sucking up" to Media Molecule that I always get accused of (not that I can fathom why I'd do that in the first place, how could it possibly benefit me?? But whatever, people on the interwebs are weird), but regardless: Back to the original point: Cambridge has gone out of their way to promote the little guys. Mm has pick'd the same guy three times. You choose. MM has picked 3 (good) levels by the same guy... MM have also picked and promoted plenty of levels by people you'd never heard of before (the metaphorical little guys), they've actively tried to engaged the community to an extent that almost no other development studio in the world has ever done (certainly no studio so small), continued actively fixing bugs and adding core features (alongside the overpriced DLC, which is pretty much all outsourced anyway, and lets be honest - a lot of people like lbp dlc). Where exactly is the "not caring" in all that? It's all still a rumour anyways... | 2011-03-12 09:46:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

Even more excited now. <3 http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/28/media-molecule-hiring-programmer-for-portable-platform/ No no no no no no no no!!! I really hope Cambridge develops it. As Cyber said, Cambridge implanted much better tools and such. And why is everyone hating on Cambridge?? They created an awesome, phenomenal game called LBP for PSP. Without them most of you (including me) would not be here on this forum. Sure they haven't really been with us anymore, but they planned out their year of DLC and did their thing. They're simply moving on! [/rant] The only good thing about Mm developing it instead of Cambridge is that they will most likely do Mm picks | 2011-03-16 04:36:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
if you buy DLC for lbp psp will it become useless for lbp psp2 ? because that would be a serious waste of our money | 2011-03-18 18:05:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
