New to lbpcentral...

Archive: 4 posts

Hello everyone!
I'm new to lbpcentral, but have been playing LBP1 and 2 since day 1 and I think it is one of the greatest games of all time. I initially bought the game for my kids (8 and 10 yrs old) thinking this would be a great game to play with the kids, and I was immediately sucked in and have finished both games 100% with Aces. (Even though LBP1 data got erased and I am currently RE-finishing so I can RE-get all the bubbles) --- (Grrr, darn kids! Thank you LBP2 for the nice backup feature I now have...)
Anyway, my PSN name is tooled and I love playing fun games with fun people. I am also planning on creating the greatest LBP2 game of all time. Looks like I have my work cut out for me, after seeing Vectroids and that 3 lane road one that I play over and over again and so many others (big props to nuclearfish, I love playing your games!)
Well, thats my introduction. I am working on a pinball recreation of a real pinball game from the early 90s. The internet Pinball Database is great with all of its diagrams and how to make all the extra stuff happen... now if only I can convert this to LBP2... I got some learnin' to do, and I signed up for lbpcentral cuz I think Ima need some help at some point...
Talk to you soon! Have fun!

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

Awesome! Yet another family LBP adventure! lol

Oh wow.. yeah IPD is pretty darn cool. I am working on a pinball level myself that I first did a prototype for in the Beta. Seems like I was first at doing it in LBP2 and then came the rush of them!! lol

If you have any questions feel free and ask!

Have fun!

LOL... you sure about that...? cuz at the moment I have a lot of 'em! First one being: why doesn't the pinball work with bounce pads??? Or... better yet, how do you make the pinball bounce? I'm still learning LBP2 create mode... maybe I should save my questions for later, but... I have read something about impact (pads?)--- tweaking material to make stuff bounce when impacted? Well... first things first on my Attack From Mars Pinball machine!

lol.. well, some questions are better for the Help forum so you can get a broader audience for logic and construction help. I was really meaning any questions on how to get around the site! However, since you asked only sackbots or sackboys can bounce off of bounce pads.

Now you can use the material tweaker to make things more bouncy as well as how much friction which is pretty helpful. Otherwise to bounce a ball you will have to experiment with either pistons or possibly creative use with followers set to flee. i.e. logic on the ball. Though again, the Help forum might get you more detailed answers as well as many other ideas on how to accomplish what you want.

Good luck!!
