BouncePad Roullette [survival challenge]

hello everyone! just a new thread to advertise my new Survival Minigame:

In this game you have to rely on luck and inititave to survive each round. You have to make your choice of which of the 4 ports you want to get in before the counter gets to zero. If you aren't in a port you will face your early demise. Once in the port you can only wait and hope the randomizer doesn't choose your port to be the death zone. After 10 rounds a second Death Zone will activate narrowing your chances of survival again. And After 20 a third will activate. You will then be facing a 1/4 chance of survival. There are infinite rounds and you are awarded 50 points for each round you survive.

oh man I just wanted to say that you sir are evil! this level is evil and should be banned! jk

This level is incredible! the design of the level is awesome and evil at the same time! also the level system that you put in the level is incredible. Also I like the intro of the level when you finally showed your evil side lol Keep it up!

Hehe thanks I guess I was trying to go for a creepy kinda feel seeing as it is quite a dark gameplay idea :blush:

Well arnald you know that message I sent to you? I sent that to all my friends so that was approx. 50 plays from the off. Also they rated well because they knew me

This helps it get a foothold in the newest level page and then you just got to advertise on sites and wait 		2011-03-01 01:03:00

Okay, I've played it a few times and have got some stuff to say.

I didn't really like the fact that it was completely random, no skill goes into it at all unless you can be bothered with the probabilities which really is the last thing you want to do when playing a game. Well, if you're me anyway. But that's more of an issue with the level type, and you can't really do a thing about that so I'll move on to how you pulled it off.

Funnily enough I really enjoyed it, you're sure to build up the tension though I would recommend only having a 5 second timer to make the choice a little more frantic. I'd also possibly recommend you having 3 lives or something, since you've done the tension so well you'll be able to get away with that.

This level is even more fun with other people; I let 2 randomers join and it was quite a laugh seeing them run around in panic as the red light came on in their cell. While you were there, safe for a little more and anticipating the 50 points.

I just wish I was as good at getting my levels played by as many people 		2011-03-01 17:11:00

Hey i played this level a few days ago when i found it in the cool section of the game. This is an excellent idea that is executed to perfection in my opinion. I played it with some other people and it was surprisingly addictive. Keep it up!

I played this a few times last night and left a review for you.

For feedback, just a couple of things:
1. I think the game is intended to be random, but if not it would be nice to introduce a chance for skill. I tried to find a way to jump at the last moment to avoid the bounce pad, but could never pull it off. Not sure if it was designed to be possible.
2. I'm not positive, but while doing my crazy jumping, I think I triggered early death sequences in the other bays. One would light up with death, but if I jumped at the right time, another would start doing it, even though I was bounced back up to the safe area.

That's all I found. I did enjoy it - nice job!


It really wouldn't be fair based on the difference in length, but if you've got a lot of time to spare, check out my Perky Prius level in the sig. Please do not feel obligated - its very long (but not in a bad way).		2011-03-02 14:38:00

haha i played this levels a few days ago!
i liked the idea! sadly i had no other player around me, but i tested it anyway.

i think the game idea itself is kinda lame " just standing and get killed" - but how you created it and how you made the visuals and the fun factor... that made out of an lame idea a good one! which rocks now.
good job on this. and well done on the creating of this level! the most on the visuals!

i can not say more - i just think it is professional done and it's best suited for some fun on late partys!
